  • Great Experience!

"Great clean and comfortable unit! The building was very secure even though all the gates got to be a bit much after a while. The location was great-close enough to go to Destin for a little but not too close to have to deal with all the traffic/noise. Private beaches surround the unit so it was like having a little stretch of 30A to yourself. The place was well stocked with dishes and all the rooms were comfortable. It was a pleasure dealing with Eileen and Jeff (her local contact) as well! Overall a great experience for our family vacation."

  • A great beach rental.

"Delta Dunes is a perfect rental for just hanging out and relaxing and conveniently located for great restaurants, outdoor activities, and shopping if you want to be out and about. The beach is a short walk from the house and I miss the wonderful pool already! This area was private and peaceful and there was plenty to do as we needed to take advantage of a 1000 piece puzzle since an unexpected intense storm descended upon us! We loved this well equipped rental and look forward to returning someday!"

  • Sensational Southern Shell Stay!

"Our stay at Southern Shell was all we hoped for. The house was clean and spacious. There was ample living area on the second floor for relaxing. We cook in most nights and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. There were plenty of closets to hang clothes and store totes and bags. All of the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The garage was an added bonus. We are avid bicyclists and the garage was the perfect place to store our bikes. Bicyclists will find this a great location for access to popular bike routes. The additional refrigerator in the garage was perfect for storing water bottles and extra ice. This is a perfect location for a family with children and a pooch. The beach is a short walk. During the weekdays there was ample parking at the beach for families who need to drive. This location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. We hope to stay again."

  • Lovely relaxing house, owners a joy to work with

"My husband and I spent several days at the Classic 50s Beach Cottage and we had a wonderful time! The owners were a joy to work with - very easy arrangements for reservations, check-in and check-out (probably the easiest I've ever worked with on vrbo), and they graciously accommodated our dog, a border collie, so not a tiny animal. There was a deck in back of the house and a fenced yard, so we felt secure to let our dog roam in and out freely. There was a Florida room on the front of the house that was secure for us to leave him with his crate when we went out - perfect! The house is of course older, and it's kitchy and slightly mismatched, but in a fun way. It is located down a sandy road in groves of trees - so peaceful and quiet. Just across the street is the beach access - very close. It is literally about a block or two to Seaside, so you can enjoy all the shops, restaurants and entertainment easily, but then it's nice to retreat to an older, calmer area to relax and unwind at the end of the evening. Literally just around the corner you'll also find the Seagrove Market, for food, supplies and casual dining, and V Seagrove for upscale, white-tablecloth dining. If you want to stay in, the kitchen is huge and has plenty of utensils, pots, pans, plates and cups, etc. There's a bedroom at the front of the house and one at the back, with a bathroom between them. There is no bathtub but a large glass-enclosed tiled shower and a lot of counter space. The living room was comfortable and everything was open and roomy. Keep in mind, this is an older house, so you may see a spot of rust or chipped paint every now and then, but nothing to worry about. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Both owners are easily reached by phone and live nearby if you have any problems or need anything."
