A Little Piece of Heaven
"Whether you're vacationing as a family or just need a couples getaway, this is the place for you. This is old "Florida" at its best! My husband and I were enjoying a week together before our son returned home from college. It couldn't have been better. The beautifully decorated condo afforded you all the luxuries of home with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a great porch for watching sunsets, reading or evening cocktail. The legendary Red Bar is literally just a few steps away serving great food while listening to local musicians or possibly some Nashville talent that frequents the eatery at times. Location, location, location -great for riding bikes, hiking or just lounging on the beach - you won't be disappointed. The owners were extremely helpful in ensuring our stay was a memorable one. Thank you for sharing your Little Piece of Heaven!"

"My husband and I rented this great place for a friend's wedding. It was perfect for us. Small but very roomy. It also had all the necessities. The decor was very charming. The owners were very easy to work with. I loved the laid back feel of Grayton Beach. Can't wait to come back with our children."

"The Egg is a great place to stay for a Grayton Beach holiday. It's within walking distance of the beach, the Red Bar, and other "Grayt" local spots. At the same time, it's tucked behind what I call The Big House (The Egg is a carriage house behind the main dwelling.) so that you don't have to deal with the traffic of the main streets of Grayton; your walk is down a sandy alley lined with trees.
The carriage house itself is nicely decorated and has brand new appliances. It's very comfortable, both inside and outside--breakfast and drinks on the screened in porch are heavenly events.
The drawback involves the hot tub and swimming pool. Apparently those go with The Big House. You do not get the remote to operate the jets on the hot tub, nor are you supposed to enjoy a dip in the pool, despite the fact that these amenities are attached to the very deck you must walk on to nter the carriage house. The hot tub is literally about 9 feet from your back door (the door you see on the screen porch in the picture)! At first, the people staying in The Big House allowed us to use the hot tub. On our final day, however, they asked me to be out by a certain hour because they had guests coming over. I completely respected this wish and their privacy issues. But that's the point; the properties are simply too close together to say one house gets to use the amenities and the other doesn't. It's rather like saying only people on the first floor of a motel can use the pool and those on the second floor can't; it makes no sense. I think the owners of this property should reconsider and allow hot tub and pool privileges to ALL guests, whether they're staying in The Big House or The Egg. To watch others 9 feet away enjoying such amenities seems like a slap in the face.
Otherwise, I highly recommend staying at The Egg. The property is exactly as it appears in the photos, it's clean and well-maintained, and it's in the perfect location. I enjoyed my stay!"

"For an extended family coming together with four young children, Delta Dunes is pretty much perfect.
In Gulf Trace, you feel "off the beaten path" while a bike ride away from the best 30-A shopping, restaurants. The beach is easily accessible (especially with the included bikes). This might be my favorite stretch of beach on the gulf-coast because it is so wide, clean and relatively undeveloped.
As for the house, It has been smartly updated and well cared for. The family has definitely achieved the overall feel of "staying at a friend's home", as opposed to a the increasingly common sterile beach rental.
The kitchen is stocked, the beds are comfy, parking is plentiful. As for unique features: The crow's nest has amazing views and a great place to share a beverage and relax. The pool is the perfect size for a family and very private. The house is well stocked with a ton of great books and puzzles/games. Again, the bikes and Ping-Pong table were nice touches.
As for working with the owner, he was extremely accommodating, responsive and really went above-and-beyond to take care of us and make us feel at home. Clearly, I can't say enough nice things about our Delta Dunes experience! We will most definitely look to book it again in the years to come."
