"The home was better than described. In addition to the three bedrooms and two baths, it has a large eat in kitchen area with a table for six that is open to the family room. The kitchen has lots of utensils, pots, coffee pot, cookie sheets, muffins pans, toaster and toaster oven. (However, if you like non-stick pans, bring a few of those with you.) The beds were comfortable and the linens of good quality. It has a large porch on the beach side that is mostly closed in, so if the weather was a bit cool, you could still enjoy the beach view. In addition, it has a large deck with tables, chairs, two umbrellas and lounge chairs too. On the deck there is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a separate hose of just cold water as well. It is all one floor with just a few steps down to the beach. It has an unobstructed view of the sunset. Not fancy, but quaint with lots of beach decorations. Great for families. While we were there, we cooked quite a few meals, (It also has a nice gas grill under the carport in the front of the home.), we picked up steamed seasoned shrimp from the Goatfeathers Seafood Market not far from the home, but our best experience was getting take out from Louis Louis about 20 minutes away off of Hwy 98 heading towards Destin. I read about the restaurant online and it sounded good, but it sounded crowded, so we ordered takeout and I would recommend it. It was ready when we arrived and we had the seafood gumbo and the blackened grouper with grit cake and salad. (It also came with four rolls, two of which were rolls with black olives.) It's a bit pricey and they only take cash, but you should try it once while there. We were there mid-October and the weather was perfect; highs in the upper seventies/low eighties with no rain. However, they had rain in the forecast for the next week. The beach was wonderful. Great location for walking. If you head East on the beach you will come to an Inlet which was the best place to look for seashells; although they're not in abundance so it makes for easy walking We had fun with the kids on the beach. Our five year old grandson said as he headed into the water with his Dad, "This is the best day ever!" I think that sums it up!"
