  • Fantastic home!

"This was my first trip to Santa Rosa Beach and it was fantastic! Pineapple Under the Sea is great home that is well cared for and the location can't be beat. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, well maintained and about a 10 minute walk from the beach. The owner was extremely pleasant, helpful and quick to respond. My friends and I really enjoyed our time at Pineapple Under the Sea and we are already considering a trip back next year. I would absolutely recommend this home to others."

  • Wonderful Family Beach Home!

"This home was awesome - in a clean, wonderful neighborhood, with 2 pools. Very close to beach access, restaurants, grocery - anything we needed! There is a "rinse off" shower in front so you don't bring excess sand into the house. It was exactly as described in the posting with the great pictures. Our family looks forward to returning to Santa Rosa Beach!"

  • wonderful location, memorable family vacation

"This was easy to find and easy walking distance to the beach for myself, age 66 and husband age 74, and a nice trot for the teenage grandsons. There was 6 of us so each grandson had their own bedroom, and we had a spare bedroom. We were able to relax and enjoy each other in the combination kitchen and family room, as well as the beach, and the convenient pool locations. My daughter and I appreciated that it was not equipped with expensive or breakable items. A family with young children would be comfortable here. And wonderfully working air conditioning with a separate thermostat upstairs! The Goat feathers restaurant is incredibly good with a wide range of items to suit everyone in a group, and it is a very easy walk. Other restaurants were also close, but we chose to spread out. There was a great Mexican restaurant we tried our first night on rt 98 if I recall correctly. The kitchen had a coffee maker, pot for boiling ears of corn, skillets for frying fish the guys caught, toaster, plenty of plates, cups, glasses, etc. We kept the washer and dryer busy daily. We knew from previous vacation rentals to bring our own laundry soap, extra bath soap, napkins, papertowels and other paper goods (toilet paper). There was dishwashing soap and dishwasher detergent. I was surprised at the variety of books, music, vcr tapes. The boys were disappointed in the limited stations the bedroom Tvs were able to get. The older grandson was taking a summer online college course, and the WiFi worked, but was a bit slow - however it got the job done! The refrigerator was large enough for pop, bottled water, and the tons of food teenage boys eat. The beds were comfortable, pillows were fine. No one complained of not sleeping. Yes, some reviews mentioned it needed TLC - well, it made us feel comfortable. A deck chair we noticed was broken and the outdoor shower didn't work (showers are at the beach and the pool), but it wasn't really needed. The grill worked great, we grilled several nights. I really appreciate being able to contact and deal directly with the owner! She was so helpful. I hope we will be able to return again, it may not be next year as the younger members are talking about going to California (they've never been) - but my hubby and I would be perfectly happy to return here."

Old Florida Village Travel Tips

Old Florida Village Vacation Rentals Offer Easy Beach Access

Located off picturesque Highway 30-A and just one block from the pristine white sands and shining turquoise waters of Florida's Santa Rosa Beach, Old Florida Village is a newer beach community with less than one hundred colorfully painted seaside dwellings surrounded by tropical vegetation and quaint winding pathways. This small neighborhood's best attraction is the beach, of course, and South Walton beach rentals let you walk to the shimmering shores for days filled with sandcastle building, kite flying, snorkeling, shell searching, or just plain relaxing with a book or closed eyes. At night, the proximity of Old Florida Village vacation rentals to the ocean provides a soundtrack of waves lapping the shore and sea breezes rustling the lush landscaping for a peaceful end to your sunny days.

Old Florida Village Beach Houses Feature Family-Friendly Fun

Old Florida Village vacation rentals have been designed to have a small, safe, and family-friendly feel, which means you can bring your whole crew of vacationers and everyone will have a blast. Two community pools are within walking distance of most Old Florida Village vacation rentals, which is perfect for younger children not yet ready for ocean waves, and some Old Florida Village beach houses come with bikes, skateboards, or game rooms to keep all ages happy.

Activities Abound at Old Florida Village Vacation Rentals

Paved walkways called the Greenway Trails offer more than twenty miles of beautiful beach side community scenery that you can enjoy by walking, jogging, or biking, and Eastern Lake State Park is also nearby for more outdoor adventure. Gulf Place, an artsy neighborhood filled with shops and restaurants, is a short walk away, and there are free concerts on Sunday evenings if you want to catch some live music. Be sure to try the seafood at Goatfeathers during your stay at South Walton beach rentals.
