"Beautifully decorated home with great views.
The pros: short walk to beach, pretty lake w/person dock.
Cons: small garbage can, needs window treatments for privacy & to keep house cooler, traffic noise"

"First of all, the views from the master bedroom 2nd floor balcony are beautiful!! It was so nice being able to see the ocean and hear the waves from the house! The home does have lots of stairs which was a little bit tiring, especially since the private beach access is down the road about 2 blocks. We definitely got a lot of exercise during our stay! The master bedroom is huge, and the king bed was 'ok'. It was not the most comfortable bed. It also squeaked very loudly with any little movement, so this also woke us up periodically at night. The house is nicely decorated...a little outdated, but nice. The beach is about a 6 minute walk from the house. You have to cross the street, and then walk about a block and a half to 2 blocks down the road to reach the beach. The private beach was not crowded at all once you get there, and it's beautiful! The Dune Allen public beach access, which is also down the street in the opposite direction from the private beach, is very crowded and probably too far for most people to walk. It took us at least 25 to 30 minutes to get to Destin, and traffic was horrible the closer you get to Destin. Santa Rosa Beach is fairly quiet. We also drove down 30A toward PCB and went to some of the other little 30A towns, and they were charming, especially Seaside. All and all this is a good place to stay, and I would recommend it as long as your physically able to deal with a short walk to get to the beach, and the stairs at the house. I already miss it there!!!"

"We have stayed at several places along the Gulf Coast. This house has the best location for beach access if you aren't right on the beach (steps away) and it's very spacious and charming. We dealt directly with the owner, which I much prefer, and he was very accommodating. We spent fall break here and it was a fantastic visit- thank you!"

"This is our second year in a row at this condo, and we had just as great of a time as last year. The nice thing is that in the span of a year, the condo has been upgraded with a new living room set, new beds in the 3rd bedroom and a new washer and dryer. The condo continues to be very well stocked with anything you can imagine (olive oil, spices, every cooking utensil you'd need, dish soap, laundry soap, you name it!) Our 2-year-old son also enjoyed the beach. We were glad that the beach was private to give him more room to roam. The owner is very easy to work with, and it makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!"
