"Everything about this cottage was wonderful! The screened-in porch was my favorite place to sip coffee in the mornings or wind down at night. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are all comfortable, well appointed, modern, and clean. Everything was pretty and beautifully decorated. It definitely has a "beachy" feel, and we knew we were on vacation as soon as we walked in! The kitchen, as noted by other reviewers, was well equipped. The gas grill was nice to have, too, and very large! (We had friends over and cooked 18 hamburgers all at once.) Overall, we felt like there was a great blend of luxury and coziness about the place.
There were four of us staying here, but we counted the total possible, and I think you could sleep up to 9 if some were children or teens. (2 in Master BR, 2 in Queen BR, 3 in BR with bunk beds -- one is full size bed, the other is twin, and maybe 2 on the pull-out sofa in the living room.)
The little neighborhood itself is quiet at night, though it was very full for spring break when were were there, with lots of families, teens, etc. It was in a great location between Rosemary Beach and Seaside, so you can easily get to each, but have a calmer, quieter location away from the crowds.
The beach is just a five-minute walk away, but there was a long walk down to the sand on stairs (3-4 flights) from the boardwalk. It's not a problem for most people, but my 77-year old mother only ventured down once. For myself and our teens, though, it was just fine. We also enjoyed the bike paths all up and down Hwy 30-A. It's a 2.5 mile bike ride to Rosemary, and about 6.5 to Seaside.
We did bring paper towels, toilet paper, bathroom soap, and cleaners, but Marianne has all of that in stock to start you off. There was even dish detergent, laundry soap, and softener! This was more than I was expecting. You might bring extra dish cloths and towels, though, and some extra beach towels.
Nearby, we enjoyed Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, and Pickles and Angelina's in Seaside. But we were happy to eat in, too. Marianne has magazines and local guides in the cottage to help you choose places to visit.
We only stayed four days but wished we could have been there longer. It was a great cottage, and I would definitely return!"
