  • Great location - clean, spacious home

"We stayed at "Drift Away" for a week - three couples enjoyed the home. It was clean and spacious with close access to the beach and a nice private pool. We would stay here again. Some notes for your trip: We brought our own bikes, but there are plenty of locations around 30A where you can rent bikes to travel up and down the path that connects the small towns. We were able to walk/bike almost everywhere we went. Big table that could accommodate all the guests made for easy dining. A couple of the burners on the stove didn't get as hot as needed, but we were able to easily prepare meals in the modern and open kitchen. Stock up at Publix (very close!) and plan to make a few meals to enjoy at home. The pool was great. We walked by many other properties who boast a private pool, but those didn't offer much more than a dip pool. The Drift Away pool is really nice for a relaxing time on property. The beach access was about 200 steps from the property. So convenient and you arrive at a nice, clean beach. Bring umbrellas and beach chairs to make the most of your time there. Thanks to the owners for sharing this wonderful home. Enjoy!"

  • Excellent Condo! Great Location!

"We have been vacationing along 30A in Seagrove Beach for years. We have had many good visits and positive experiences. Without a doubt, this was our favorite experience! Phil is absolutely wonderful to work with and he and his wife have created an oasis at the beach. Their condo is so comfortable, very well appointed, and situated right on the Gulf in our new favorite location off 30A, the Eastern Lake area. Thank you Phil for sharing your wonderful condo with others! It was a pleasure working with you and my wife and I cannot wait until our next stay!"

  • Shhh! Keep this gem a secret!

"We are longtime visitors to 30A, Seagrove, and Walton Dunes. This property--and Laura the owner--are a delight. Comfortable bedrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, and the treat of two decks right over the beach are just some of the pluses that win us over every time. It sits on a particularly lovely section of beach and you are truly just steps from it. What else are you wondering? Not a lot of noise from neighbors, things are always updated in this property, and the owner is quickly responsive if you have questions or issues. I can't think of what would hold you back! (But let's keep it a secret between just us, OK?)"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
