  • Beautiful and Charming, Comfortable and Great Location

"This was our 2nd stay at the Misner's home-away-from-home house. We love the this place! Nicely decorated, inviting, and has everything we need. Seaside Central Square is about a 5-minute walk or 2-minute bike ride. The beach is 3 blocks away with a convenient access. Many great places to eat, the beach is sparkling and beautiful, and there is great shopping. Rent kayaks from the beach, or go deep-sea fishing nearby. We found two really good places to hike nearby and thoroughly enjoyed that! We went for Spring Break with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and all of us had a blast! If you want to explore a little further, Grayton Beach is about 5 minutes by car to the West and is also charming and full of character. The other direction is Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach- only about 5 miles or so. We have stayed other places in Seagrove and have always enjoyed our stay, but this is where we will come back."

  • Wonderful Stay at Ambience

"Our stay was a quick last minute trip and the home and weather did not disappoint. The home was perfect for our group of 5 teenagers and 2 adults. The beach walk was close by and the heated pool was used daily during our stay. The area was perfect for the kids to ride bikes down to Seaside and enjoy the neighborhood without the traffic being an issue. The home had everything we needed and we loved having the screened in porch area. Only issue we had was getting locked out of the home from the porch areas, b/c doors locked behind us :) This is a great hidden gem in Seagrove and 30-A area, will definitely return in the future."

"We had such a great time! This place was just perfect for our family. It was clean and super nice! It's convenient to everything! It's first floor, pull right up to your door. The pool is a few steps from the back door. It's a quiet, safe, family-oriented complex. We loved it and hope to return to this same unit in the fall. The beaches are beautiful!!"

  • Great stay in condo 19!!

"This was our first family trip to Seagrove Beach and the Gulf Coast. The condo was great for us! The kids loved the bunk beds in the hall and the king bed was super comfortable. Kitchen is very nice, still looks very new. Plenty of room for the four of us and the location was perfect! Just steps from the beach, right across the street from Butterfly Bike and kayak (where we rented bikes and rode up to Seaside one day). Best beaches I've been to...way better than Myrtle Beach. Garrett Realty and the owners were super to work with!! I highly recommend condo 19 if you come to Seagrove Beach!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
