  • Perfect Place for Us

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was the perfect place for our vacation. With 7 teenagers it was great that they had the 3rd floor living space all to themselves. All the adults loved the first floor space. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets. All the furnishings are up to date and beautiful. It's decorated perfectly. The only thing I would recommend is that the outside patio be cleaned. The table and chairs looked as though they hadn't been washed in quite awhile. Overall, we loved it and will likely rent it again. Thank you!"

  • Spring Break Fun

"My kids and I rented this home over spring break and were very pleased. The house was larger than it appeared in the pictures. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group and everyone was comfortable. The location was good and the Tom Thumb up the street was convenient for snacks and Red Box movies. It was nice having the golf cart to get us to the beach as it was a little bit of a walk.......we did not realize though that the golf cart was only allowed to travel up and down our street.............but still, a nice addition. If you are particular about having nice bath towels I would recommend bringing your own. The kitchen was nice and big (and clean) but I would check ahead for things like a mixer, casserole dishes etc if you plan to cook many meals. I would definitely consider renting this house again."

  • Can't beat location, convenient to everything!

"This was the first trip to the Gulf beaches of Florida for my wife and me. We normally go to Amelia Island on the northeast coast but we figured that the water would be warmer this time of year on the Gulf (early October). Normally, we would be right but a cold front came through and it was a bit chillier than we expected. But, you can't control the weather and, hey, you're still at the beach!! I selected this condo based upon the picture taken from the balcony. Let me tell you, this picture does not do the view justice. The one thing the cold front did was give us sunshine and clear blue skies. This meant that the water was the most beautiful blue-green you have ever seen. It also meant that we go to see some of the most beautiful sunsets each night of our trip. As for the condo, it was just as advertised and I traded a few e-mails with the owner in regards to restaurant recommendations. She was very nice and prompt in her communications. This trip it was just my wife and I so space was no issue at all. If you tried to get 8 people in there, it might be a bit tight but I spend most of my time outside anyway! Right across the street is a bike rental shop. We parked our car at the condo and rented bikes for the remainder of our trip. It was a lot of fun. We felt 10-years old again! It's about a mile and half bike ride to Seaside but it was a very easy pedal to the great restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend that you get a bike as parking is very hard to come by in Seaside. All in all, we would definitely rent this condo again. I can recommend it!"

  • Great stay

"This is a great location and the condo is really nice. It was very helpful to have the chairs and umbrella already there. We had no problems and would definitely reserve again. Thanks!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
