  • Spring Break Fun

"My kids and I rented this home over spring break and were very pleased. The house was larger than it appeared in the pictures. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group and everyone was comfortable. The location was good and the Tom Thumb up the street was convenient for snacks and Red Box movies. It was nice having the golf cart to get us to the beach as it was a little bit of a walk.......we did not realize though that the golf cart was only allowed to travel up and down our street.............but still, a nice addition. If you are particular about having nice bath towels I would recommend bringing your own. The kitchen was nice and big (and clean) but I would check ahead for things like a mixer, casserole dishes etc if you plan to cook many meals. I would definitely consider renting this house again."

  • Exactly as described, a perfect little getaway!

"My hubby and I were looking for a little time away for the just the two of us and this was exactly what was needed. I loved being on the bottom floor but was nervous about it being noisy there... I should not have been. It was so quiet, we never knew other people were around us! Although it rained most of the weekend, we still were able to enjoy a little of the beach and were very pleased with how well the condo was stocked with beach chairs and anything else we would need for the beach. Everything was very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Arlene for a lovely get away!"

  • Wedding trip

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 6 adults and four children from the ages of 3 to 9. The house was incredible and all of our contacts with management staff was very positive. My only suggestion would be to work out something so the guest can use the elevator. It is a lot of steps to carry your luggage up to the third floor. But even so we had a great time!"

  • A little piece of heaven

"That may be overstating it just a bit, but nonetheless, the location, view, accessibility to the beach, and amenities made this condo a perfect home base for two adults. Located right on the beach, and just off 30A, we could get to the beach from our front door, and the restaurants and shops were just a hop, skip, and a jump away. The view out the front windows is like a poster, and is as lovely at night as during the day. The living area is efficient and comfortable. Neat and clean, with all the appliances one would expect to fix meals in the condo if desired. We did not plan on a washer and drier, but they turned out to be quite useful. We could not have asked for more, and we'd make this our first choice if we return to the area."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
