  • Great vacation home for 2 families

"Just returned from a wonderful week in Seagrove. This is by far the best rental we have ever stayed in. We were close to the beach and restaurants but away from all the crazy traffic. Short bike ride to Seaside. The accommodations were fabulous. The décor was gorgeous. Neutral tones throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. There were porches everywhere so plenty of room to spread out. Several hot water heaters so plenty of hot water. Jane & Jim at Surfside Management were top notch. Be sure to stay here. For great dining try Stinky's Fish Camp. We enjoyed cocktails on The Roof at 723 Whiskey Bravo. Can't say enough good things."

  • Fall weekend getaway

"Everyone had a great time at this home! The kids loved the heated pool and the tower room! There was plenty of space and it fit our needs wonderfully. The beach is less than a 5 min walk and seaside was 2.5 miles down the road. The neighbors were very friendly also. Beautiful home in a beautiful area of northwest FL! I live in Panama City, FL, which is just 30 mins away, but this was the perfect little getaway."

  • Fantastic Package

"Get to the Point is in Seagrove - very close to Seaside, Rosemary Beach, and if the weather doesn't cooperate - even shopping in Panama City is a possibility. Another plus is the location on a lake for canoeing; a short walk to the Gulf; and includes a full size swimming pool to relax at the end of the day. The newly renovated kitchen allows for a complete party from food prep to clean-up. We love to have happy hour on the top deck with a view of the Gulf and the Eastern Lake."

  • Fish House, Seagrove Beach, FL

"Our recent stay at the Fish House in Seagrove Beach, FL was excellent on all fronts. The beds are comfortable, the house was clean and fresh, and the amenities were ideal. We had use of bikes and canoes and the furniture, appliances and cookware were excellent quality. We especially enjoyed being nestled in the trees and the privacy. I would recommend this to anyone and look forward to returning in the not too distant future!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
