  • Would definitely rent again

"Rented February 2015. Very nicely decorated with a lot of space. Ground floor unit so it was easy to carry purchases and groceries without having to climb steps or use elevator. Convenient to beach and some local restaurants. Owner communicated very well with us and was always very kind and courteous. Will definitely rent again when we are in Seagrove Beach!"

  • Very nice

"I highly recommend this property. We came here for a family spring break with our four children. It is very convenient to one of the nicest beach locations in 30a. The beach adjoins a state park, so it was very uncrowdes even during spring break. The golf cart was perfect for transport back and forth. My kids absolutely loved riding on it. The condo itself is beautifully appointed. The fact that we could bring our two dogs was a huge selling point for us. The beds were comfortable. The use of the three bikes was fun for exploring. Mary was great to work with is and even mailed back some of the makeup my wife left at the condo. Overall a five star experience!"

  • Perfect beachfront getaway steps away from the beach

"We were looking for a quiet place to relax and reconnect. Seabox was the perfect spot with its fabulous beachfront access and cozy patio. The unit was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We also liked the location which is in a less-developed section of the beach."

  • Perfect for our ladies retreat!!!!!

"Seaside Reunion more that exceeded our expectations! Every year we take a group of ladies from our church on a three day retreat. We alternate between the beach and mountains each year. It's not always easy to find a place at the beach that will accommodate a group as large as ours. This house was PERFECT and had everything we needed. VERY CLEAN! Plenty of beds and they were very comfortable. Very large bathrooms with large showers. Large gathering rooms for our nightly meetings. Great pool area. We even had a little fun luau one night. The kitchens were well stocked with cookware and dishes. The owners were great to work with. We had a breaker to trip while we were there and they came right out to reset it for us. Other than that minor incident, we had no other problems. Christy also gave us recommendations for places to shop and eat. We tried several of them and they were great. 30 ladies and not one complaint about our accommodations! I hope this house is still available for our next beach retreat."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
