  • Perfect Vacation, Can't Wait to Come Back!

"We absolutely loved our stay at Pert-Near-Perfect. The owners take great pride in making their home comfortable for guests and making you feel at home when you step foot in the door. Our group consisted of two couples in their mid-twenties, and we loved everything about the house. The second floor deck was a nice retreat for me and my husband, and we all played cards regularly outside on the beautiful screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked, perfect for cooking in if you didn't want to eat out the entire trip. We biked everywhere (including the beach that is within easy walking/biking distance) and loved the area, which was very quiet and family friendly. We never felt anything but safe and comfortable during our stay. There were beach toys and chairs at the house available for use, which I thought was a nice touch for families. The Seaside square was about a 10-15 minute bike ride, probably 20-30 minute walk. We barely used our vehicle unless we were going out of the area. When you leave the community, there is a public beach access directly in front of you (across 30A), which made easy trips back and forth to the beach. We also used the pool a few times, and were happy to have that option available to us. As far as nearby food & activities, what didn't we enjoy? We tried almost all of the food trucks (Meltdown and Barefoot BBQ were probably the overall favorites), enjoyed the french toast at Pickles (just wished the service was a bit friendlier, but the delicious french toast and home fries made up for it!), loved the donuts from Charlie's (just get there early!), enjoyed breakfast and a delicious dinner at Great Southern Cafe (my husband is still raving about it, calling it the best meal he has ever had), and we all loved our dinners at Bud & Alley's Pizza & Taco Bar. If you go to the nearby restaurant, Whiskey Bravo, you must try the fried mac & cheese bites. Absolutely the best! As far as activities, the boys went and golfed at Santa Rosa Beach Club and really enjoyed the course, while my sister-in-law and I indulged in a massage at Beach Ready Spa and followed that with a fun paint-your-own-pottery course at Fired Up. I highly recommend both! The staff at Fired Up was very friendly, and we both loved having something we created to remember our trip by. There's plenty to do in the area for people of all ages, but honestly, we spent the majority of time at the beach, or relaxing in this beautiful home. You won't regret staying here!"

  • Wonderful Stay at Ambience

"Our stay was a quick last minute trip and the home and weather did not disappoint. The home was perfect for our group of 5 teenagers and 2 adults. The beach walk was close by and the heated pool was used daily during our stay. The area was perfect for the kids to ride bikes down to Seaside and enjoy the neighborhood without the traffic being an issue. The home had everything we needed and we loved having the screened in porch area. Only issue we had was getting locked out of the home from the porch areas, b/c doors locked behind us :) This is a great hidden gem in Seagrove and 30-A area, will definitely return in the future."

  • Perfect for Girls’ Getaway

"This was our second trip to Seagrove Sunrise in four years and the house was again a perfect fit for five women on a getaway week. Many recent updates to an already perfect home – the owners, who are very kind and very responsive, have great taste in décor and understand quality comforts. The linens, towels, furnishings, kitchen supplies and backyard grill are all the best I have ever seen at a vacation rental. We enjoyed at least two short walks to the beach every day, sunning on white sand during the day and never missing the spectacular sunset each evening. Even watched dolphins from the shore! We jumped on bikes to tour the adorable 30A community and Seaside, always loved returning to the peaceful Grove by the Sea neighborhood and very comfortable house. Spacious for five of us to hang out and by far the best place to start and finish each vacation day. We are not waiting 4 years to return to this home and highly recommend it for friends and families!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.

Things to Do in Seagrove Beach

There are dining choices perfect for the whole family, whether you're looking for casual dining or want an upscale experience. The laid-back atmosphere of 723 Whiskey Bravo is also family-friendly and provides excellent views of the water while you eat.
