  • Great couples getaway for an affordable price & great location... Pool is a plus!

"After visiting this particular area of NW Florida for the very first time, we were really impressed. The building itself (as well as some of the properties within) are dated, HOWEVER, they are well-maintained & perfectly located. The pool was very well-maintained also and provided a nice change from the sand on the beach. The beach is located directly across the street & has a nice pathway to get there. There are only two things I will say about this particular villa that aren't "perfect." The description above & pictures don't give much incentive for people to book here. We personally took much better pictures, but the owner stated the place stayed rented almost all the time. The other thing was the initial communication... that was tough. I wasn't sure the trip would happen. At the listed number, if the wife isn't home, the husband will not answer questions or handle anything regarding their property. Once you're able to reach the wife, she is very nice. She did have apparent trouble with the VRBO website, and had to cancel my request & have me submit another. It all worked out well that time & for the money & area, it was a good deal. Hope others will leave feedback too, for it's helpful to us when trying to book properties."

  • Great stay in condo 19!!

"This was our first family trip to Seagrove Beach and the Gulf Coast. The condo was great for us! The kids loved the bunk beds in the hall and the king bed was super comfortable. Kitchen is very nice, still looks very new. Plenty of room for the four of us and the location was perfect! Just steps from the beach, right across the street from Butterfly Bike and kayak (where we rented bikes and rode up to Seaside one day). Best beaches I've been to...way better than Myrtle Beach. Garrett Realty and the owners were super to work with!! I highly recommend condo 19 if you come to Seagrove Beach!"

  • Perfect

"This was the perfect place to stay for our end-of-summer vacation! It was minutes from the beach and close to many restaurants and shops including the town of Seaside, which has lots of fun places to visit. The house is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed including a stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, plenty of comfortable beds and even a pool in the back. We went to the beach every day, which made it a great choice for us, and we would love to stay here again."

  • Great location and great beach house

"We just returned from our trip. The house was nice, clean and festively decorated. The location was really nice. It was about 30 paces from the front door to the bridge that crosses the dunes. The daily umberallas and chairs at the beach was a really nice perk. We were at the house and beach over the 4th of July week and never felt that our area of the beach or the community pool was crowded. My biggest criticism, which is not much, is that the outsidie bbq grill was smaill for a house made for 12 people. But, the BBQ grill was average size (not small) but wished it was larger. The 3rd floor room was a nice hang-out for the 5 teenage kids. It was a little warm in that 3rd floor den but the kids didn't mind. They enjoyed a place where they played video games and looked at the stars in the evening. I'm grasping to find a criticism. We had a great time and thought the house was very nice and enjoyable."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
