  • Wonderful Family Accomodations

"We were very pleased with the home. It was as described. So very close to the beach and the pool felt like it is in your back yard. We would definatly be interested in renting again. We had three adults and three children and it was a perfect fit. It would will sleep twelve, but it would be difficult to feed twelve using only the items provided in the kitchen. Needless to say we weren't there to cook, we were there for fun in the sun and it did not disappoint. No internet, which was a bonus for us as it kept everyone in the moment rather than surfing their electronic devices. We did call the office for minor information and they were available, kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. We hope to return soon. Thank you!"

  • 4th of July vacation

"We had a wonderful time! The house was comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. We had six adults and two children and plenty of room. Easy access to the beach and to both pools. Outdoor shower and grill were great extras. Central location...close to Seaside, Alys and Rosemary Beaches. We would definitely recommend it! My grand-daughter said that she 'loved our big yellow house!' Only negative...parking for two cars only."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
