  • Spring break 2014

"Wonderful home in a terrific location. Perfect for a girls' trip. Neighborhood was quiet, yet close to "bustling" Seaside. We rode our bikes most everywhere and only used the car one time to see a movie in destin - about 20 minutes away. For families with older kids, an easy walk across 30A to the beach. Even if we forgot soemthing, wasn't hard to get back to house. ONLY "criticism" is lack of lamps. No side lamp in the master bedroom and the side lamp in the living room wasn't working. Would have liked a little more lighting for reading. But if that's the only issue, I'd say it was a GREAT vacation."

  • A month of heaven!

"This is overdue!!! Just wanted to thank the owners for the wonderful stay we had in their beautiful home. It was everything we wanted. Open beachy clean pretty and has the best kitchen ever! It was so much fun cooking in this kitchen that we only ate out three times all month. Every Sat. we rode our bikes to the farmers market in Seaside and to the fish market for our suppers. We even caught some of our own fish!!! Also enjoyed the fact that there are no homes on either side or behind the house had this beautiful space all to our self. The location of the house is great, close to everything. We rode our bikes everywhere, no need to use the car. This home is beautiful and we plan to make our next stay longer."

  • Excellent property and management company

"This property was everything as advertised. With 2 chairs/umbrella every day, 2 bikes and 3 boogie boards (owner's) included, we had everything we needed. One of the better, bigger Beachside II 2BR floorplans. Very tastefully, yet practically decorated and very close to the beach. The all tile flooring is the way to go with kids, pets and sand. Royal Beach Rentals is the best management company I have ever dealt with and are worth every penny of their admin fee. No view of the ocean, but pet friendly, ground floor is a good tradeoff for what we paid. This place is at the top of our list of great, affordable properties in the best location on the panhandle."

  • Beautiful and peaceful

"This was our 2nd trip to the Seaside/Seagrove area, and our 2nd stay at this house. This home is in the perfect location - just a short two blocks from the beautiful beach, and a few blocks from Seaside proper. The home is beautifully decorated, is very clean, and so comfortable. It is such a pleasure renting this home - easy to work with the owners, and we will be back! October is the perfect time to visit! We recommend grabbing coffee drinks at Amavida Coffee in Seaside, and visiting the airstream trailers (the grilled cheese truck is so good!). Also love the book and record store in Seaside, and just walking around the area - such beautiful architecture/homes!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
