  • Great Rental!

"We LOVE One Seagrove place. This was our 2nd year at this property, but our first to stay in Serenity. It's beautifully decorated and Heidi was SOOOOO helpful answering questions for me. I highly recommend it!"

  • Much needed getaway!

"Such a wonderful escape! My fiance' and I stayed here in early September and it was the perfect time. There wasn't a whole lot of people in the complex so it was always very quiet - just what we needed! The walk to the beach was a bit longer than we thought (we used the Tom Thumb entrance to the beach) but we definitely didn't mind the exercise! We could never get the WiFi to work but it didn't bother us because we were always doing something. Perfect location! Would definitely return here if we go back just the two of us! Thanks so much for everything! :) We truly enjoyed it!"

  • Great beach home!

"2 families of 4 really enjoyed this spacious house. It could easily have fit another family. Each room having it's own bathroom was bonus. Having the beach so close was very nice since that is where we were all day every day. The kids also enjoyed the pool which was next door. We also enjoyed the bikes and boogie boards in the garage storage. There are many restaurants and shops very close, and easy to bike/walk to. Our only complaint that has nothing to do with this house is the 30-A shade beach rental company that sets up rental chairs and umbrellas...get out there early to get your spot, otherwise you will be squeezing in between their umbrellas to get to the water! They were a real pain. Great house in a great location over all."

  • PHENOMENAL Family Gathering at The Yellow Parrot!!

"My family rented this property on August 28th for a Labor Day family gathering. It was 18 of us. This vacation home far exceeds the pictures and online description. It is absolutely top-shelf, beautiful, well-equipped and perfectly located for enjoying quality time with your loved ones. There was space for us to gather for meals, board games and college football enjoyment -while yet having plenty of space for individual privacy. We spent mega hours in the pool and pool area which was spacious enough to accommodate us and allow for free movement and play. The beach was just steps away and the view of the gulf was fantastic- especially from the 3rd floor. The house was immaculate and the neighborhood was quiet and offered so much serenity whether on the front balconies looking at the gulf or on the back balconies looking at the lake. The guys went fishing, by boat, in the gulf and caught two coolers of fish and my brother-in-law caught catfish in the lake. The BEST thing about this rental is the OWNER...he is soooo easy to work with and went far and beyond to accommodate our needs and requests. He responded rapidly to every contact from the planning phase of our trip until we left. He even checked on our safe return home!! My family and I have rented many vacation homes thru the years. I give The Yellow Parrot and its owner a rating beyond A++! We'll BE BACK!!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
