  • Absolutely AMAZING!

"This adorable condo has me wanting to buy my own, but how can I justify it when I got this one at such a fabulous deal! Owner was professional and courteous. We had no issues at all while staying in the condo. Publix, restaurants, and other amenities are close and the beach access couldn't be better unless you were directly on the beach. Will absolutely stay again!"

  • AWESOME VACATION!!!

"Dont know where to begin...everything exceeded our expectations. The pics really don't capture how fabulous this townhome is. Quaint, comfortable, beautifully decorated, with every amenity needed to make for a wonderful honeymoon. Really enjoyed waking up every morning hearing and seeing the oceans waves. Wine on the deck, long walks and picnics on the beach...very romantic. The beaches were white and at times we had them all to ourselves! Cindy was so incredibly kind and helpful and we would highly recommend this townhome to anyone looking for a perfect vacation at the beach. So much to do if you want to stay busy, but the perfect place to "get away from it all" as well. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you Cindy!!!"

  • Perfect for Peace

"This is perfectly sized for a single person or couple. On my own, I could see staying here for a month or longer. The walk to the beach, at only about 100 yards, is easy to do. It rained most of the time I was there so I stayed inside much of the time, but I didn't feel cooped up. While you can't see the beach from the room, it's still nice to have the giant doors open to hear it and smell the salt breezes. The space is nicely decorated. I like that they reused, recycled or re-purposed things to create the decor...and very cutely, too. The queen bed was very comfy. The kitchen had everything needed to make a meal with plenty of counter space to spread out or serve as an eating area. Bathroom was very clean and a good size. Plenty of space to put away clothes or stow backpacks/beach stuff. Covered parking was nice. Wifi and cable TV worked well. I highly recommend staying here. I plan to again."

  • Christmas 2015

"We rented both parts of Aweigh from Home for a family reunion with 18 people from ages 13 to 70+. Everyone was nicely accommodated for sleeping. There were plenty of kitchen space and kitchen ware to cook for this large group. The location is convenient to walk to Seagrove Beach. We didn't visit at the ideal time of year, but the beach is beautiful. The access is off a Dune, so there are many steps up or down. The pool was nice, but what we believed was a hot tub was not. Kids didn't mind. Seagrove Beach is a quiet area, only a few nice places to eat out, no chain restaurants within 20 miles (exception of one Subway). However, it is a pretty easy walk to Seaside and some casual dining. The overall consensus was we would come back to this property again. If both parts of the property are rented (main and carriage house) then there is both an upstairs and ground level family room/kitchen area which is nice for younger members to play X-Box or watch movies and another group can enjoy socializing. Understanding the layout is particularly important if you have guests that have difficulty with stairs. In our case, our most senior member stayed in the master off of the upstairs family room. This minimized the number of trips up and down stairs and kept them near the larger family room and most of the activities. However, the only shower that didn't have a notable lip (shower only) was the master on the ground level, so it was necessary to go down the stairs to take a shower, if you had difficulty stepping up over the lip of a bath tub. If you don't rent the carriage house, then you don't have access to the ground level living room and two of the upstairs bedrooms. Management was very friendly and responsive. One of the A/C units serving a portion of the home quit during our visit and they had people out first thing the following day. With the exception of one of the two outdoor grills, all equipment and appliances worked."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
