  • October 2014 Stay

"This is the 2nd year in a row some of our family has stayed at 410 BFT. Last year for my sister's 50th b-day, this year just for fun. It was just right for our group of 26 (15 adults, 11 kids under age 12). Sure, the house is showing some wear and tear, but its a rental that gets rented a lot! And the proximity to the beach, the views from all over the house & the amenities, are the reasons why. There were issues with the Aqualink for the pool, but the newer bikes were very much appreciated. 360 Blue was always prompt to respond & professional. The highlight was taking some stand-up paddleboards out beyond the 2nd sandbar and having dolphins swim all around us...awesome! Thanks to the owners & 360 Blue for an amazing week of family time & lasting memories!"

  • Family vacation

"Whit's end was the perfect place for our family. We have three boys and they loved the trails and being so close to the beach. The place was just like the pictures and the owners thought of everything we needed and more. It was a wonderful place to stay!"

  • Nice Condo Close To The Beach

"We enjoyed our stay at this unit. The condo was spotless upon our arrival with plenty of clean towels, clean sheets, and clean dishes. The condo is as shown in the photos, and it is decorated nicely. The AC works perfectly. This is a middle unit, and there is no view of the beach to speak of but there is a nice view of the pool. The grounds are kept clean, and the walk to the beach is VERY manageable even with an arm full of chairs, towels, and a cooler. We will definitely stay at this unit again as the owner is extremely nice and accommodating as well. Laura, thanks for a nice long weekend at your condo and the beautiful beaches of Seagrove. We look forward to seeing you again soon."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
