  • Crab Shack rocks

"The Crab Shack is a great place to stay. It is close to restaurants, bars, bike rentals, and the Donut Hut. The property is a short walk to the beach and for cooler days enjoy the heated hot tub. We love the location and can't wait to return."

  • A great stay at the beach!

"I spent a great few days at this house, taking a perfect vacation. The location is wonderful, it's right on the beach (gorgeous sand, the warmest, calmest, ocean water I've ever encountered). The surrounding towns are very sweet, too, with great food and atmosphere. The house itself is spacious and very comfortable, with balcony space (perfect for breakfast and for yoga). This was the perfect vacation spot, and I fully recommend it."

  • The Name Says it All is Perfect!

"Property was as pictured and described, except better. Very clean and well furnished, with many amenities. Owner helpful in every respect and a pleasure to work with. Great area for walking, running and biking. The lake was perfect for small children. Would highly recommend. Hope to return same time next year!"

  • Seagrove Condo

"My family and I really enjoyed staying at this condo! It was so beautifully decorated and in a great location! Short walk to the beach. If you need to drive to the beach so you don't have to lug everything down by hand, there is a great beach access with a parking lot that always had a space available! Loved the pool. Everything was marvelous! Would highly recommend. The only thing needed are some extra wash cloths and dish cloths. There were only two wash cloths."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
