  • Great location and great beach house

"We just returned from our trip. The house was nice, clean and festively decorated. The location was really nice. It was about 30 paces from the front door to the bridge that crosses the dunes. The daily umberallas and chairs at the beach was a really nice perk. We were at the house and beach over the 4th of July week and never felt that our area of the beach or the community pool was crowded. My biggest criticism, which is not much, is that the outsidie bbq grill was smaill for a house made for 12 people. But, the BBQ grill was average size (not small) but wished it was larger. The 3rd floor room was a nice hang-out for the 5 teenage kids. It was a little warm in that 3rd floor den but the kids didn't mind. They enjoyed a place where they played video games and looked at the stars in the evening. I'm grasping to find a criticism. We had a great time and thought the house was very nice and enjoyable."

  • Perfect in every way!!!

""Sight to Sea" is the right name for this home! You can see wonderful sunsets from every room and balconies on all 3 levels and watch beautiful sunrises each morning from the 3rd floor windows. I rented this beach home for my 60th birthday celebration- perfect for families and friends to spread out. What a blessing it has been to share this little piece of paradise! Here are just a few of the reasons this home is perfect- 2 separate dens on 2 levels, 2 fridges in kitchen, under counter ice maker, closet full of beach toys and chairs, just steps to beach, new and updated living room furniture and bed linens. Ross has been a pleasure to rent from and responded immediately when I had questions. Great place for making wonderful memories."

  • Beachside villas

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Me and my husband came to this property last year as a small honeymoon and it it was so perfect we came back for our 1 year anniversary. It's pretty much right on the beach, maybe a 5 minute walk. It's always really quiet and peaceful. The beach is close to seaside and about 20 minutes from panama city beach. I will definitely come back."

  • Fantastic!

"My family has stayed in a number of beach houses in the area - this was the best. The house was really nice, the heated pool was nice, the outdoor grilling area and picnic table was nice, the front yard sitting area and hammock was nice, the shed with all the beach supplies was nice, the bikes were nice, the two minute walk to the beach was nice. There are restaurants within easy walking / biking distance. Seaside is an easy bike ride. Everything was done really well. We will stay there again. The owners really seen to want to make certain you are comfortable and happy. Also, it was super clean - most of the time they are "clean enough"..."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
