  • A great stay on the beach!

"A great property in a great location. We had 4 adults and 6 children with us and even with 10 people the unit never felt crowded or cramped, plenty of space! The beach was just a short walk away as well as a pool, BBQ Grills etc. We went over one of the busiest weekends on the year (4th of July weekend) and we never had any problem finding a spot on the beach or in the pool etc. We would definitely come back in the future!"

  • Excellent getaway spot

"This was a wonderful condo for a girlfriends getaway for a long weekend. My family has been vacationing along 30A for 25+ years, and this little road in Seagrove is one of our favorite spots. It is off the busiest part of the main drag, but still close and convenient to everything. This particular condo was a great find. Everything was neat and clean and well-maintained, and the location is just perfect. Having your own private deck literally on the beach is just wonderful. Leanne was so nice and helpful and easy to deal with. I definitely hope to return here sometime!"

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"This place proved to be great for our family vacation. We had fifteen people ages 13 to 77 from Germantown, TN; Jonesboro, AR; Nashville, TN; Longview, TX; Houston, TX and Jackson, MS (5 adult married couples, one unmarried adult male, one unmarried adult female, three teenagers) and we were able to satisfy all requests for privacy, etc. Nothing takes the place of beach front property at the beach! The pool was used much more than we expected - in fact, every evening there were people in the pool and/or the hot tub. Words do not describe the master suite. It was fabulous. We found it great for afternoon gathering of those who were not on the beach to get together and watch those who were on the beach, while reading their favorite books, catching up on Facebook, discussing the upcoming evening meal or just family matters. We always had to be careful to knock on the door when going to the bathroom because everyone wanted to use one of the fabulous showers. Rick and Karen Bennett were very responsive to all requests and just like family. Convenience to area restaurants, shops, grocery stores was excellent. We ate most of our meals at the house but started out with all 15 of us enjoying a full family dinner at the V Seagrove during the 5-6 PM hour and found the food and service there to be wonderful. We also had lunch at The Great Southern in Seaside one day and dinner at Sergio's in Grayton one evening and both were great. The amenities such as bikes, pool deck furniture, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach accessories, games, movies, etc. were more than expected and most were used."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
