  • Girls Get Away

"My two friends and I had a great time in this very comfortable beach front condo. Great location, larger than it looks from the photos, and super quick response and help from owner, Donna. Just know to bring your own beach towels and chairs, or arrange for beach chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable cost ahead of time from one of the many rental companies servicing the Seagrove area. We plan on returning as the condo was perfect for our stay and we liked the neighborhood of Seagrove best of all the other nearby areas. Hope you're as lucky as we were with fantastic weather and swim time every day of our visit!"

  • Awesome Place!

"The condo was everything we had hoped it would be and more! Beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, and furnished with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had a wonderful time. The pier and lake are picturesque and the perfect backdrop for photos. The beach is close enough to walk, though we didn't as we had toddlers with us. Wonderful little towns nearby and a great variety of places to eat. Definitely looking forward to a return trip. Ms. Ginny is a perfect hostess and wonderful communicator! Loved it and had an amazing time. Thank you!!!"

  • A beautiful oasis!

"We booked Shutters for my daughter's senior high school spring break. It was her dream to spend her final spring break in high school with her friend's and her brother and his friends. So, my husband and I bravely agreed to chaperone 8 teen-agers for the week! After many hours of searching on line last April, we settled on Shutters. Let me say, this is one of greatest values on any rental property in the area. The location is ideal, and because the house is completely surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and shrubs there is total privacy. The pool area is lovely and heated for the chilly spring weather. AND... this owner does not charge a huge fee to heat the pool as some do. The house and guest house are all hardwood floors which is perfect, everything is fresh and clean and light. The furnishings and decor scream "fun beach vacation"! We appreciated the whimsical original artwork throughout the house and also enjoyed meeting the Mason's by seeing their family photos around the house. We also appreciated the high quality toiletry products that were placed in the bathrooms. All of the linens were clean and new. So many rentals have ratty towels and sheets that make you wonder how clean the house really is! The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed to prepare a complete meal or just grill out by the pool (brand new grill). My husband and I enjoyed cocktail hour in the crow's nest every afternoon. Much needed after of day of chaperoning! There is a pretty view of the ocean and beach from the top. Shutters offered so much privacy for our group. Not only were we able to separate the girls from the boys because of the lovely guest house, the large decks offered a private spot for anyone needing to "get away". Overall, this was absolutely the best rental home we have ever rented. Actually, it exceeded all of our expectations!!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
