  • Super cute beach condo - convenient access to Seaside, Watercolor, and Grayton

"This condo is every bit as cute and nicely decorated as indicated in the photos! Everything was clean and in excellent working order. We loved the location with easy beach access and just a short drive (or bike ride) to Seaside, Watercolor, and Grayton - not to mention Publix as well! Old Florida Fish House restaurant is just a couple blocks away with live music on the weekends. We also enjoyed meals at Great Southern Cafe, Whisky Bravo, and Bud and Alley's. We hope to return in the not too distant future. The gulf beaches are spectacular!"

  • Highly Recommended

"We enjoy the Seagrove/Seaside area during late fall and winter when there are no crowds, yet the weather is usually mild enough for most outdoor activities. This condo if perfectly situated for for anything you want to do. Close by are walking, biking and hiking trails along the beach road, nice restaurants, shopping, and beach access. The condo is very nicely appointed with a full kitchen, a spacious living and dining area, flat screen TV, couch, two large chairs, dining table with four chairs, two bar stools, excellent shower, very comfy queen sized bed, and plenty of closet space. The grounds around the condo are very attractive and well maintained. And the owner is most accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
