  • PERFECT VACATION!!!

"Home was extremely clean. homeowners have thought of everything! all you need is swimsuit and sunscreen! owners were also very friendly and great to work with especially on our last minute decision to take a mini-vacation. home is very roomy - great upstairs room for kids, beds are extremely comfortable, private pool was PERFECT! short walk to the beach was very easy but having the wagon made it even better. Home/street offered a lot of privacy yet you are very short distance to restaurants, etc. As soon as we can confirm when school is out next year we will be booking it again...but for a whole week! Can't wait!! Thank you so much for making this vacation one of the best and most relaxing that we've had in a very long time! God Bless!"

  • Fantastic Location!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our time at the Sugar Shack! The condo was very well done and nicely kept! The location to the beach was PERFECT! We really could not have asked for a better place to stay with 4 adults and 2 teens. Plenty of room! Next time we will rent bikes and utilize the bike path into Seaside and the other beach towns. We will definitely come back to this spot!"

  • Great location - clean, spacious home

"We stayed at "Drift Away" for a week - three couples enjoyed the home. It was clean and spacious with close access to the beach and a nice private pool. We would stay here again. Some notes for your trip: We brought our own bikes, but there are plenty of locations around 30A where you can rent bikes to travel up and down the path that connects the small towns. We were able to walk/bike almost everywhere we went. Big table that could accommodate all the guests made for easy dining. A couple of the burners on the stove didn't get as hot as needed, but we were able to easily prepare meals in the modern and open kitchen. Stock up at Publix (very close!) and plan to make a few meals to enjoy at home. The pool was great. We walked by many other properties who boast a private pool, but those didn't offer much more than a dip pool. The Drift Away pool is really nice for a relaxing time on property. The beach access was about 200 steps from the property. So convenient and you arrive at a nice, clean beach. Bring umbrellas and beach chairs to make the most of your time there. Thanks to the owners for sharing this wonderful home. Enjoy!"

  • Beautiful Views; Beautiful Area

"Just returned from two months in this comfy unit. The owner is right in saying there are beautiful views (gulf and sunsets) from the master bedroom, the livingroom and the kitchen. We have stayed at BSV for six years and this unit is one of the best. The beach is soft white sand and goes on forever. There are various activities in the club house where you can meet other snowbirds. Or you can investigate the many restaurants and shops along 30A. Or you can ride your bike along the many bike trails throughout the area. And there are several Mardi Gras parades and other activities in the surrounding communities of Destin, Panama City and Panama City Beach in February or March. We love the entire area! The only negative at Beach Side Villas has been that the "heated" pool was heated for only the last week of our stay this year and has not been heated for the full two months for as long as I remember."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
