  • BEAUTIFUL

"This rental is a must!!! The pictures do not do it justice!! It's soooo much lovelier in person!!! My family and I have been coming to this area for many years and Melodia Sunset is the most beautiful and most well equipped place we have stayed!! No complaints here!! And we will definitely rent here again. By the way, the dolphins put on quite a show every morning too:)"

  • Another FUN,RELAXING time!

"This is our 3rd time at Right On The Beach (one in summer, two during the Christmas holiday). You can't do any better when it comes to being right on the beach. No flip-flops needed (so close to the water). The pictures and description of this awesome place are very accurate. You have everything you need right here (minus hair dryer). The beds are comfortable, neat and clean, kitchen well stocked, private, quiet area, great restaurants, markets, shops nearby. You can drive a short distance to Pier Park to see a movie, shop, ride carnival rides (kids) and walk the pier. The best thing is that the water is RIGHT there! No public parking lot, no major noise, yet close to the action IF you want to be. Try Angelina's for lasagna, The Wine Bar (Watercolor) for great wine, appetizers and dessert. Yes, this can be done with young kids. Sit outside and enjoy. You can do this in December and still have a fun, beautiful day. Our daughter (3rd grader) wrote a book about Right On The Beach for a Young Authors competition for school. Check it out. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzINvgyiBm8UWUpDc2xoRlFkV28/view?pli=1"

  • Great for families with children

"This ground floor unit only steps from the beach is perfect. It only takes 30 seconds to get to the steps with all our beach gear and children. Parents will appreciate the ease of getting the kids out the door and straight down the steps to the water. The condo is cozy and appointed with everything needed. The owners and property managers respond immediately and are great to work with. The grass outside the patio has been covered in sand, as is the corner of the property. So, it's practically impossible to clean your feet after leaving the beach. My only suggestion for the unit would be the addition of sturdy patio furniture. We plan to visit again in the next year and would recommend this to anyone who wants a slower pace than the more commercialized PCB or Destin areas."

  • Great Condo and Beautiful Beach!

"A wonderful place to stay. Loved that it was 1st floor with no steps to climb. Everything you would need was provided. Kitchen fully stocked, lots of towels and washclothes, washer and dryer and even an ironing board and hair dryer. Didn't use but all the beach gear you would need was there also. A beautiful beach with easy access to it. A private setting yet still convenient to lots of restaurants and shops. A very peaceful vacation was enjoyed."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
