  • Wonderful Anniverary!

"My husband and I had been to Seaside a number of years ago and thought it would be fun to go back. However, when I started looking at pricing it was ridiculously expensive. That was when I started searching Seagrove and came across The Bungalows. The place was clean and exactly as the pictures showed. It was convenient to everything which was great. Loved having the bicycles and beach chairs/umbrella included. We had a fantastic relaxing week and are already planning to come back. Is it high class luxury, no, but it is everything it promised to be so I gave it a five."

  • Great spot!

"We were a little apprehensive to book this unit because it had NO reviews, but decided to take the chance and were very pleasantly surprised! It's very well equipped with the exception of extra blankets (it was chilly most nights) The unit was clean, everything went smoothly with booking and arrival, all in all, a GREAT trip :)"

  • Family Get Away

"My husband, myself, daughter, son in law and 5 grand children leased this home for one week. The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you possibly could ever need. The beach is right across 30A, a 3 minute walk from the house or you can park like a block down off of 30A. The kids spent every day going to the beach in the am coming back to the house and swimming in the pool in the afternoon. Then back to the beach. The food is great everywhere. Alys beach is right down 30A and we spent a couple evenings there listening to music as well as in Seaside. We will most certainly lease Ron's house again next year when we return to the area again. We Thank Ron for the use of his home, his professionalism and all of his help in pointing out where to dine out and rent anything we may have needed as we were in the area. This is once again a beautiful home and a place that you will not regret leasing for your family vacation. It is so comfortable you feel as if you are right at home. Thank you again Ron for everything and letting us share your home."

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
