  • A little piece of heaven

"That may be overstating it just a bit, but nonetheless, the location, view, accessibility to the beach, and amenities made this condo a perfect home base for two adults. Located right on the beach, and just off 30A, we could get to the beach from our front door, and the restaurants and shops were just a hop, skip, and a jump away. The view out the front windows is like a poster, and is as lovely at night as during the day. The living area is efficient and comfortable. Neat and clean, with all the appliances one would expect to fix meals in the condo if desired. We did not plan on a washer and drier, but they turned out to be quite useful. We could not have asked for more, and we'd make this our first choice if we return to the area."

  • Great house for Spring Break with Teens

"This is a great beach house for large groups! Our big crew loved the spacious living room on the second floor, and having the bedrooms on the first and third floors was ideal when travelling with older kids. The balconies are fantastic! The washer and dryer are located in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which made it a bit inconvenient to keep up with laundry during the week. The proximity to the beach is great, an easy walk. The property location is a little off the beaten path, which is nice for the most part, but most teens want to hang out in Seaside each evening and it is really too far for kids to safely bike or walk after dark, so we had to drive quite a bit in the evenings. The one lane dirt road is perfect for minimizing traffic, but it was very rainy when we arrived, and for a few days we had to navigate some very large mud puddles (which our dog didn't mind at all!) Our interactions with the owners and staff were very professional and helpful. We felt everyone wanted us to have a very nice stay. We would certainly recommend this property to others!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
