"I want to say that this condo may very well be the nicest we've stayed in ever. Loved the views, the space, the updates, the comfort. Everything. But in this review I'd like to share some things that may help your stay just a bit. First, there is an amenities package that is available in every condo at Shoreline Properties. This package states it is "free" to the renter. It is only free if you rent directly from Shoreline Rentals/Properties not necessarily if you rent on this VRBO site. You need to mention this when you email the owner. It's $100 if the owner does not include this in your rental package. It includes snorkeling, golf and the Big Kahuna water park just to name a few. My family did use the amenities package with our two adult children. Second, when you rent from VRBO you, or at least we, had to pay the damage deposit of $400 up front. I booked the first of April, 2015 and received my refund on 8/15/2015. Essentially the owner is keeping the $400 for four months. When I received my receipt from Shoreline, the day we arrived, I noticed that the damage fee was not on my receipt. I was told by the office that Shoreline Properties does not require the damage deposit to be paid up front and that you were only required to pay anything if they found damage when you left. All in all it's little issues. Yes we got our money back for the damage deposit but do I want someone holding my money for four months? Not really. Would it have been nice to be offered a free amenities package that costs $100 since I'm paying nearly $3k for a week at this condo? Yep! Would I recommend this place? Absolutely! Would I come back again? You bet. Would I rent through Shoreline directly versus VRBO? Very likely. Seriously though, you won't find a nicer condo with better views on an awesome beach anywhere in Destin. :)"

"Over the years, my family has stayed in at least a dozen different complexes in the Destin area. Unit 603 at the Islander has been one of the best rentals my family has stayed at in Destin. The unit is extremely clean. Its decor is beautiful. The appliances all appear to be new. Everything is in perfect working order, which I have found to be a very rare thing with rentals.
The complex itself is run and maintained perfectly. The staff are very friendly. And to give you a hint as to how clean the complex is: the elevators have stainless steel walls. And for the life of me I cannot find a single fingerprint or smudge on the walls. They have been spotless all week!
The location is a big plus as well. This property is central to Destin but getting a car in and out of the complex is no hassle at all. Its on Gulf Shore drive; which is not busy at all. And you drive less than a mile to get to a stop light at 98. And having that stoplight as an entrance to 98 makes things so very simple, quick and safe."

"We stayed at the Jolly Roger this summer 2015 and loved it!! Our group ranges in age from 11 to 69. The pool and hot tub was a big hit and a lot of fun. The boat was an added pleasure for the fisherman in our group. We also enjoyed our canal sight seeing evening boat tours. The house is big and comfortable. The kitchen is a joy to cook in and was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware and containers. With the tables on the big covered porch, kitchen table and bar area we were able to all eat together. We were a pain in the property manager and owners butt as we somehow locked ourselves out of the house, but they were jolly on the spot to bring the key. The beach was just across the way and there are carts to haul your beach chairs, umbrellas and toys. The property is well kept and we loved the washer and came back from our vacation with clean clothes. I would recommend this house and we are already planning our next vaacation there!"

"This second floor condo minutes from the beach was precisely as billed. Recently renovated, it was clean, roomy, fresh and quiet. All amenities are provided except beach chairs and umbrellas, but you don't need to rent them if you don't mind laying out behind the shoreline are which is reserved for those beach rentals. Check in and out could not have been easier with our owner providing maps and instructions in advance of our trip. The weather in October was nothing short of spectacular, so we combined a few days of fishing with some lazy time on the powder white and very wide beach. All in all our trip was awesome and we all highly recommend it"
