  • Awesome Place!

"I came down for fall break with 4 kids and decided to try this place even though we normally stay right on the beach. This house is first class with top of the line furnishings and you can't beat the location. We biked every morning and then took one of the golf carts over to the beach in the afternoon. Just a beautiful area and you can walk to Baytown Village in a few minutes. You won't be disappointed, we will be back for sure."

  • Awesome!!!!

"I just have to say that your home, it's location to the beach and shopping is just awesome!!!! Part of my family was at the beach day and night, and part of my family stayed in the pool. One of my grandchildren called the pool "the waterfall." I could have lived on the large covered porch. Your home was decorated so pretty. There was a lot of thought put into every room. The longer you looked around the home and spent time in it, the more things you discovered. Just beautiful! Your home and property was clean and orderly. The only thing I would recommend would be a couple more dish clothes for the kitchen. That seems so petty compared to all the positive things about your home, but it may be helpful to those coming after us. We joked that if we had the money, we would just buy your home and not go home! Thank you for sharing!!!"

  • On the bay.

"Pictures don't do this home justice. It sits the end of a very beautiful quite street. The screen porch, oh my I could just stay on it forever. The yard has lush grass to run bare foot in. We had a very peaceful vacation. Fished on the pier, and watched fireworks from the pier, visited many restaurants and even did a dolphin tour from AJs that was so fun. We also found 30a is the place to go when you want to go to the beach. It's not too busy. The owners are very helpful and the home has everything there to make you feel at home. We will be visiting again."

  • Outstanding

"My family of six stayed at this property for one week I early August, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The "drive up appeal", the interiors, the back patios overlooking the Raven golf course, ... The villa was first class in every manner. Additionally, Angel was very welcoming and a pleasure to do business with. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking to rent a house in Sandestin."

Private Homes Travel Tips

Famous Shipwrecks are Right Out Your Front Door if You Stay in a Sandestin Vacation Rental

Divers will travel the world over looking for the best dive spots. Luckily for them, the Gulf floor just off of Destin, Florida is the final resting place of some of the nation's most accessible shipwrecks. World-class divers travel from all over the planet love to check out these great spots. These ships were all sunk as part of a reef creation program designed to rehabilitate the underwater life of the Florida panhandle's Gulf Coast. Sandestin beach rentals mean that this wonderful ecosystem is right out your front door.

What Are The Ships?

The most famous ships on the sea floor are the Miss Louise, the Mohawk Chief and the Thomas Hayward. All were deliberately sunk over the last 30 years to facilitate the creation of artificial reefs. The older ones have been there long enough that they are literally teeming with ocean life. The deepest of these shipwrecks is a mere 90 feet underwater, easily accessible to trained and certified divers. These artificial reefs have done wonders to bring back the marine life of the coastal waters. Both large and small fish have made these areas their main habitat and the same attractions that bring scores of divers help to keep the wildlife vibrant and diverse. This, in turn, attracts more fish and the fisherman who catch them for fun and sport. Sandestin vacation rentals are thus popular with a wide variety of sport vacationers.

Can I Rent Gear In Town?

Sandestin beach rentals are adjacent to many of the town's diving and scuba shops. These facilities can assist the vacationer in acquiring their certification and will rent equipment to those who already have their cards. Destin homes and condos put the wonderful world of diving at your fingertips.
