    "We just got back from a nice weekend stay at Westwinds. We stayed on the 7th floor and the view was awesome. The condo was very modern, updated, and clean. The location was great, right on the beach. Marcella was very easy to work with and everything went smoothly. I would definitely stay there again:)"

  • Good Family Vacation

    "Stayed at Westwinds for Spring Break this year with our teen daughter. The condo was clean with a good view of the ocean. The beach was perfect with easy access. Parking was a breeze compared to other resorts we've visited over Spring Break. Wide variety of restaurants in the area. Other than relaxing on the beach, there are plenty of things to do within a short drive; including shopping, golfing, go-karts, putt-putt. Marcella was easy to work with. The booking process, arrival, and departure were simple. I would recommend staying at Westwinds."

    "Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: GBR provided good service while we stayed and were very fast at fixing both the constantly running toilet and the broken heat pump, even offering to move us to a unit in another building. We loved the placement of the unit, but we were very disappointed at the level of cleaning on our arrival when compared to other units and agencies we have dealt with. We did inform the office, but not immediately. Admittedly, in fairness to GBR they stated they have a high standard for cleaning crews and we should have told them immediately to rectify the situation. However, first impressions counted with us and we felt that paying for a substantial cleaning fee of $160 should guarantee a substantial level of cleaning so we re-cleaned much of the area ourselves to our satisfaction and did not wish the possibility of the original cleaning crew returning disgruntled. In fairness, Gibson Beach Rentals offered to clean the bedcover immediately, and did so. But from the first night and many days later we found many items very off-putting - many of them places hands could not avoid touching; the back of doors, including main entry door, all around handles, light switches, and in the case of the one bathroom, coffee or coke runs down the door frame. These were in plain sight and so noticeably dirty as was the ingrained dirt on the ottoman and the rugs. The agency replied that washing wall and paint areas take more time and usually such things are noted on their annual inspection and deep clean but due to the high occupancy through the fall, they were unable to schedule the deep clean before our arrival. We sincerely hope that this year the deep clean will include the rugs and some of the upholstered items because the unit is a good place to stay otherwise and the rental agency has acted both professionally and been very helpful."
