  • Loved this place. A little piece of Heaven

"I have stayed here in the past and love coming back each year. This is by far one of the best units around. It's a "platinum" unit, which means the place has a lot of upgrades. Flat screen tvs, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops. I love that I can go out on the balcony and look at the ocean. It's so peaceful. In the past, I have seen dolphins and manatee. My kids love that there is a pool as well as the ocean. I love that we didn't have to cross the busy street. The beds are quite comfortable. We slept great each night. The pictures are exactly what you get. It was very clean and nice to just walk in and put our stuff away. There is so much to do around here. I prefer the beach, but there is plenty of shopping, great food and fishing. I love to eat at Ocean Club and Marina Cafe. Those places come highly recommended. If you want a little piece of heaven then you have got to rent this condo. Your family will be so happy you did. My family of 6 slept great! I have never been disappointed with renting this unit. Beach chairs and umbrellas were a definite plus!!"

  • Family Fun!

"Thank you Chilley Gilley! We just got back after a wonderful week in your beautiful home! From the moment we walked in until we left, we were impressed with the beauty and quality of everything – top of the line kitchen appliances, granite countertops, soft closing drawers, ceiling fans, and professional decor! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and we cooked dinner there three nights. There was plenty of room for everyone with two master suites, a queen bedroom, and a bunkroom. And our eleven year old grandson really enjoyed the Playstation upstairs in the den. They provided numerous books and several board games in case of inclement weather, but the weather was great during our stay! Also, we took advantage of several of the things from the closet full of beach and pool items – beach chairs, floats, boogey board, etc. The beach trolley was a great convenience and we used it several times. Everything was really well thought out for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests! We can’t say enough about Chilley Gilley and can’t wait to go back!"

  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"We rented this place for our bi-annual family vacation with my parents, siblings, and all of our children. The location was wonderful. There was more than enough room for our families. There were a total of 4 families, so each of us had a room, then all of the children shared the large room with several beds. Our teenagers stayed at the top in the loft area, and they loved it. There are two close beach accesses, but I suggest going to the Crystal Beach access because the Baracuda Street access in mainly private, whereas the Crystal Beach access has more public space. If you have bikes and can travel with them, I would suggest bringing them. There is a great pathway for walking/riding on. Shopping is all around you, within walking distance. There is a mall type venue just a few blocks north of the house or you could bike/drive to the outlet mall that is on the south end of Scenic US 98. The pool is not very big, but we didn't spend much time in the pool, being so close to the ocean. It was probably the size of a large sauna. No more than 8 people at a time. Walmart, Publix, and Winn Dixie are all close to the house, with Publix being the closest grocery. The prices are higher than they are in Indiana, even at Walmart, so if you have room to pack anything to save on grocery cost, it may be a good idea. The weather was beautiful while we were in town. Most of the time it was in the high 70's/low 80's. The water was still warm, and at night it was warmer in the water. While in town, we enjoyed the Destin Harbor Boardwalk and the pier on Okaloosa Island. We drove 1.5 hours west to Pensacola to check out the Blue Angels practice at the National Aviation Museum. We rented a boat and went out to Crab Island, spent some time riding the pathway, checked out the million dollar walls at McGuires's Irish pub, listened to music at AJ's on the Boardwalk, and enjoyed the crystal clear waters at the beach. I would highly recommend this vacation property for your next visit to Destin, as it was far enough away from the main hotels/condo's of Destin, but close enough to still enjoy all the amenities."
