  • Great Stay! Detailed review Pro's / Con's

"My extended family and I just returned from our recent stay at Tropical Oasis. PRO's: The reservation process was great. Jane was very friendly and answered any questions I had regarding our stay. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and high end finishes in the home. The home was Extremely clean (which we greatly appreciated) and as noted in the description, is well equipped with double dishwashers, washing machines, and double refrigerators. All of which came in extremely handy for a large group. The location was great. Easy access to shopping and recreational activities. The weather was in the 60's most days, but we were still able to utilize the pool which we had paid to have heated. The parking was adequate as it can hold 4 cars. The interior of the home is laid out well, however, I would caution that there are an abundance of stairs, so if you are traveling with senior's, it may be challenging to maneuver the several flights to access upstairs bedrooms. One of the most favorite parts of my trip was the comfort of both the mattress and sheets in the master suites. While the sheets were extremely comfy, the comforters in several rooms appeared to be tattered and in need of replacement. Con's: While overall our stay was great, we did have several challenges within the home. There were obvious repairs that needed to be done. The back of our master suite toilet leaked the whole week, the living room furniture (couches) are unusable, in that the springs have sprung and it is almost impossible to sit on. The dining room seats, while a nice fabric, all have a sunken seats from extended wear. The arms of the dining chairs were all loose or broken. We ended up going to Lowe's to get screws to reinforce them, so that no one would take a spill. The banister on the fourth floor was broken and definitely posed a safety hazard. Several lights were out in the bathrooms, however upon one call, (Henry) came by to replace them. The bedrooms were a good size with the exception of one of the bunk rooms, which we found totally unusable. The head clearance is minimal, and un-usable by an adult; so unless you have small children to occupy the bunk room, I would not count it as a usable bedroom. The beach access distance is a bit further then described. Despite the minor inconveniences, we had an overall Great stay. It is a lovely high end home in a great location. I would definitely recommend this home and would not hesitate to return."

  • A Pleasant Surprise!!!

"When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the property was. This was our family reunion and typically we have btw 50-100 people attend. Not all close family but some really close friends.Since it was at the beach it was close family and was perfect for our 26 people. This trip was fabulous because of the pool and the short walk (2 blocks then across 2 lane Scenic Road) to the beach. The weather was perfect with clear water and a breeze. The house allowed for our group to stay together but also have privacy. The TV in each BR was great as well as all the other amenities, chairs, umbrella, crock pots and various pots pans and other needed (but unexpected) items. Over the last 20 years we have lost a lot of close family (especially last 3 years) and whereas we normally are at the homesite with unlimited resources we decided to just bring one picture of each of those that have passed on. My husband was going to bring a long table so that we could display them but when we got to the house it was great to have a Very nice glass case empty to display them.......perfect. We definitely recommend this home to anyone needing a gathering spot with all the niceties and convenience of your own home paired with the beauty of the environment close by. As for the management, Laura and Carrie, they were excellent! But I would like to say Carrie is like the energizer Bunny in taking care of your needs and just as sweet. To the Owner-the bedroom on the main floor is perfect for guests who can not climb all the stairs (which tends to be elderly or disabled) so i suggest a taller toilet. Also when in the backyard pool area the ceiling of the upper floors appear to be warping from water damage and you may want to have those checked out. We definitely want to come back!!!"

  • Mykonos for spring break

"The party I had at Mykonos loved every second of it, the house was in great condition aside from a few minor quirks and in a great location. There is plenty of space and rooms to accommodate a larger group than I had, and would be well suited for spring breakers like they were or for any other large group seeking a large, quality house to live in as they explore destin. Whatever the season, I have confidence that any group staying there would be more than satisfied."

  • Bella Beach

"Beautiful and spacious ocean front home! Convenient beach access. Convenience to Ocean front restaurants with great seafood (Pompano Joe's (a favorite) and the Surf Hut ( highly recommend)! The large kitchen and dining area made for comfortable breakfast and lunches at this home. We loved our stay and plan to use Five Star for future trips!"
