"Our family of 10 rented this wonderful beach house for our spring break. It was a beautiful home and very well stocked. You are very close to the beach and it's so quite and peaceful.
We enjoyed fishing. My brother in law caught a 42 inch red fish just off the surf. We also caught sting rays, mackerel, catfish, trout and even a shark. Fishing was fantastic. One of our favorite things was going out at night when the tide was out with flashlights looking at all the sea life. The stars at night were awesome also!!
We have a wonderful visit in this loving home and would recommend to anyone wanting to get away to the beach!!"

"We rented this home along with my sister's family and really enjoyed it. Even though the water at Bald Point is not the greatest, and it's very shallow, that made it fun exploring the tide pools at low tide and easy to enjoy with younger children. The house was set up well for a smaller group like ours and had plenty of space to enjoy by yourself or with others. One of the features we enjoyed the most was the outside shower stall with hot and cold water - it was a work saver for us trying to keep the house clean! The kitchen had a great variety of cooking utensils and the dining table was a nice size for a group. The check-in/out with the property manager was easy and we received our deposit back in a timely manner. The only negatives I noticed about the rental were that the directions to the house were EXTREMELY difficult to read because of the font size and color and we were unsure how much cleaning we were supposed to do before vacating the house. The owner was very nice and responded to all my questions quickly. If we were looking for a quiet vacation, we would return again."

"This was our first trip to Alligator Point and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house is in a wonderful location, steps from the beach. It's clean, comfortable and decorated with lots of bright vintage treasures. I really can't imagine getting a better deal. The sunrises from the Spotted Grouper are amazing. For sunsets we preferred the view from the public beach further down on Alligator dr. Though they were public, we were the only ones there most nights. There is also a tiny bar called the Tiki Hut at the end of Alligator Dr that serves food and is a great place to talk to the locals. It's a short jaunt to Panacea to pick up fresh caught seafood and the kitchen is well equipped to cook up your favorite. If you have kids, they will love the beach at Bald Point State park during load tide, as the shore is just crawling (literally) with hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs. We took lots of day trips to explore the area. Wakulla Springs has a super cheap boat ride down the river in which you will see plenty of alligators, birds and manatees. They also have a historic lodge with great food. We drove to St George on day and Mexico beach the next, both beaches are stunning. Each beach was different, even down to the shells we found. We would love to come back to the Forgotten Coast and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Spotted Grouper again. Keep your eye out for the white squirrels. We saw them a few times but were never quick enough to get a photo!"

"This was our first venture into winter traveling and we were thrilled with "Happy Ours". The house is perfect for a vacation. It is well maintained and was spotless when we arrived. It is decorated very nicely and has all the amenities of home, including HD television. The beach is great and not crowded, fun watching the tides come and go. We were entertained by dolphins feeding and lots of birds. The place to be for quiet, peaceful vacation. Bike trails nearby. Sunset amazing!"
