"Wow, Alligator Point really is a hidden treasure. The Gulf was beautiful and had fun exploring the beach at high and low tides. We enjoyed walking the beach with our two dogs and collection sea shells. The cottage's location is perfect to see and smell the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. It is a very short walk from the cottage to the sandy white beach. We also enjoyed the fence in yard for our dogs. We were able to let them roam and explore with confidence they were confined. As a bonus we were pleased we were able to hike through the trails at Bald Point State Park which was just down the road."

"Ship 2 Shore is a wonderful vacation home. It has all of the amenities anyone could ask for. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and every utensil you could possibly need. We had never seen such an abundance of marine life in the ocean--star fish, huge sea shells, crabs (yes we caught some in the bay and cooked them--delicious), dolphins. Quite an adventure for my adult children and grandchildren. The few problems that we had with the home were quickly addressed by the owner. The beds are very comfortable and the decorations in the house are gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck watching the sunset and on the back "sun deck" watching the starts at night. It is amazing how many stars you can see when there are no city lights around--beautiful. We were blessed to have a full moon while we were there which made the reflection off of the gulf absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the "touch" Aquarium in Panacea--great place. There were a couple of problems with the home, but they were addressed quickly by the owner. Thanks Linda for sharing your beautiful vacation home with my family."

"We had a wonderful stay. The house is comfortable and everything you need is readliy accessible. The kids LOVED the loft area and had a great time playing on the small private beach and checking out the crabs. Lots of wildlife to see and even a cool Lab named 'Oyster' who came up to play. The deck was perfect for propping up my feet with a good book and a cup of coffee. I could live out there. In fact, one of the kids camped out on the deck. If you are looking for peace and quiet, no crowds and a place to get away from the world, this is it."

"This was our first trip to Alligator Point and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house is in a wonderful location, steps from the beach. It's clean, comfortable and decorated with lots of bright vintage treasures. I really can't imagine getting a better deal. The sunrises from the Spotted Grouper are amazing. For sunsets we preferred the view from the public beach further down on Alligator dr. Though they were public, we were the only ones there most nights. There is also a tiny bar called the Tiki Hut at the end of Alligator Dr that serves food and is a great place to talk to the locals. It's a short jaunt to Panacea to pick up fresh caught seafood and the kitchen is well equipped to cook up your favorite. If you have kids, they will love the beach at Bald Point State park during load tide, as the shore is just crawling (literally) with hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs. We took lots of day trips to explore the area. Wakulla Springs has a super cheap boat ride down the river in which you will see plenty of alligators, birds and manatees. They also have a historic lodge with great food. We drove to St George on day and Mexico beach the next, both beaches are stunning. Each beach was different, even down to the shells we found. We would love to come back to the Forgotten Coast and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Spotted Grouper again. Keep your eye out for the white squirrels. We saw them a few times but were never quick enough to get a photo!"
