"We have stayed in this charming apartment on several occasions when visiting Apalachicola. It is well-appointed and quite comfortable! Appreciated having the full kitchen and a washer and dryer. Highly recommend!"

  • Hidaway Haven

"For our first vacation in nearly 25 years and following retirement, we picked the Yule Tide loft for our first week in Florida and I don’t see how we could have chosen a better place or a better area. We’re from a rural, small town area of northern Indiana and averse to the traffic and crowds we found once we left the "Forgotten Coast" area and went further south (and far less interesting in our opinion) in Florida. The loft is very comfortable in all respects and is located within a few blocks of most everything that’s happening in Apalachicola…and a little something seems to be happening all the time…even in February! Everyone told us we should be further south to take advantage of the weather, but mid 60’s to near 80 degrees in February were more than agreeable! We were delighted with the beautiful beaches of St George Island, the Florida birding trails (north side of town along Scipio Creek and Apalachicola River), and just the laid back atmosphere of the area. The sea food is wonderful in both the many restaurants (within walking distance) as well as the fresh caught and sold in several places just down the street and on St George Island. The bicycles were also a nice feature. Neither of us had been on a bicycle in 40 years, but what they say is true and we rode to the numerous parks every day and even spent a couple of hours in the Civil War era cemetery a few blocks to the west. More interesting than you might think! If you need more excitement, it’s an easy day trip to Panama City but the peace and quiet and the nice sense of community of Apalach was more to our liking. We’ll definitely be back next winter!"

  • Great vacay spot & wonderful views!!!!

"We were pleasantly surprised with the space of the apartment!!! It was a former oyster house and very cute :-) The views were amazing and we never ate out!! Kitchen was fully stocked and Ron even let us use his grill! Every day we went to St George's Island for the secluded beaches and yummy crab cakes sold off a truck (been there 20 years -- take a left and you'll see it 1/4 mile on the left!). We will definitely be back-- just booked a few days this April :-)"

  • Apalach Getaway

"We have stayed in the Apalachicola/Indian Pass area each year for the past 4years. We wanted to stay in town this time but we still wanted to bring our two Labs with us so we booked the Water Street Loft. It was clean, comfortable and walking distance to everything in Apalach including parks, restaurants, stores and attractions. There is plenty of room for a large family or a bunch of friends. If I still had my boat it would have been ideal as there is a ramp on the property. Nothing fancy here but very enjoyable watching all the boat traffic on Scipio Creek and the apalachicola River."
