  • What a relaxing vacation!

"My family stayed at Barefoot on the Beach from 6/28/14 - 7/5/14. I was pleasantly surprised with how exceptionally clean the townhouse was when we arrived. I was also very happy about the size of the townhouse. It’s very large and each member of my family had their own space to relax or play. It’s hands-down the best location in Barrier Dunes and closest to the sand! In addition, the beach views are beautiful from every room! I enjoyed my coffee on the deck every single morning. And we appreciated the bbq pit for grilling nearly every night. The window seat in the dining room ended up being a favorite spot for the kids. The beach was magnificent with soft white sand, plenty of shells, and crystal clear water. Definitely a place to relax and recharge!"

  • Nice spacious home - just a short walk to the beach!

"Had a beautiful week here in Cape San Blas. The home was quite comfortable for all 9 of us and we had a great time. 3 level home with good size bedrooms and large master bedroom! Kitchen is very nice and has everything you might need. We ate all our meals right here at the house, which was nice. Make sure to do your grocery shopping in Port St. Joe before heading to the Cape! Tennis courts are great and 2 nice size pools in the community. But be aware that the pools are not heated, so the water is a bit chilly (during Spring months) - I was under the impression that one of the pools was solar heated (but it was not in service while we were here). Being near the state park and bike trail is a huge plus ...... so be sure to bring your bicycles!!! Beach is just a short walk away and is absolutely beautiful. White sand goes on forever and is not busy at all. I would certainly recommend this home and I think any family would enjoy it."

  • Wonderful Vacation

"Very nice place! Well maintained! Very clean. Screened in back porch overlooks pond with huge fountain that was very relaxing in the evenings/nights. Short walk to beach on paved street part of the way and on boardwalk other part of walk. We enjoyed also walking through the really nice and well maintained gated community. Short drive to Cone Heads(rest/bar) and 2 other conv. stores. Perfect size cottage for 4 of us and small dog. Thanks for a very affordable and really nice vacation! Sunsets on beach were awesome!"

  • Lovely Retreat! (only)

"Better than expected! The gulf, sand, beach is amazing! The townhouse was very nicely decorated & was equipped with everything we needed! We came to Cape San Blas for our 15th Wedding Anniversary! Loved the townhouse expect that it didn't have a master bedroom door, so there was no privacy! This wouldn't have been a problem but we brought our teen daughter & two dogs, so no romance! The dogs absolutely loved the beach as much as we did! Every morning we would get up to go on a walk! There are lots of shells on the beach. Loved watching the dolphins swim in the Gulf! There is a turtle pond and we loved feeding them! There are two nice pools! We had a Wonderful Spring Break!"

Barrier Dunes Travel Tips

If you're looking for a private beach escape, then look no farther than Cape San Blas in Florida's panhandle. This location, which is affectionately called the forgotten coast, has avoided the build up of so many other tourist areas. Barrier Dunes rentals will provide you with a private retreat that will make you feel like you're on a deserted island.

Barrier Dunes Rentals are Adjacent to St. Joseph State Park

One of the things that makes Cape San Blas so inviting is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, which is a well-preserved nature area. The tall sand dunes are virtually untouched, earning it the distinction of one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Wildlife abounds here with the most famous inhabitant the Loggerhead turtle. There are more than 10 miles of beach to explore.

Be One With Nature

Cape San Blas vacation rentals will put you right in the middle of this beautiful coast. The beach is located on Florida's gulf side, which means spectacular sunsets right on the water. There are no high-rise condos blocking your view and no loud beachfront bars disturbing your peace and quiet. Barrier Dunes beach rentals are spread out and secluded to preserve the tranquility of Cape San Blas.

All the Comforts of Home

While the setting is tranquil, you'll by no means be roughing it with Barrier Dunes rentals. They have world-class facilities with all the amenities you would expect to find. Barrier Dunes beach rentals are fully furnished and tastefully decorated so you'll feel right at home. Vacationers praise the area for both the beauty and the safety. The area is far enough off the beaten path that you can send the kids off to hunt for seashells or crabs and never have to worry as you do at a hotel or a mega resort.
