"This beautiful little cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our family of 5. In addition to its sheer convenience to the very best activities on Cape San Blas, the cottage was very clean and cheery. Our kids also enjoyed the many turtles in the pond out in back of the home. The Barrier Dunes community is very nice - it's a quick walk to the quiet beach and had a great pool that was open late (always a plus with kids). The community also allows fires on the beach so one night we were able to make s'mores while watching an amazing sunset over the ocean. Snorkeling and paddle boarding in the bay (both great experiences) were less than five minutes away from our rental and were other activities we greatly enjoyed.
We definitely plan to return to Cape San Blas - and this cottage."

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Everything was great. The kitchen was well equipped. The grill was almost new!! Everything, such as the TVs and other gadgets, was in good working order. The only problem we had was that the king size bed was not in the master bedroom! I would recommend that it be put in the top (master bedroom), rather than one of the lower rooms.
Manager responded on 7/22/2015:
Thank you for reviewing A Signal by the Sea on Cape San Blas. We are so glad you enjoyed your time here on the Cape and found Signal by the Sea to be a great home to vacation. We will pass on your suggestion about which room should have the king bed to the owners. We do hope you will be able to visit again soon!"

"After researching literally months trying to match our hopes of a pristine quiet beach, a safe community, a place where dogs are welcome (yet the owners care about clean healthy surroundings) and a nice place to stay that was not too crowded....... we found Barrier Dunes. We found "The cape" to be the get-a-way spot we were after. There were few kids or students this time of year and no commotion going on to take attention away from the sounds of the ocean. We were very pleased at how clean everyone kept the community, the beach itself and the general area along the pathways that are in many places littered with cigarette butts and scraps of discarded debris. Our beach-front condo (SeaScape) was great for us, being that this was our first shot at snow-birding, we had to be right on the beach, and boy were we ever. 30 steps from the nicest, cleanest sand that we could have ever imagined. We were very pleased to find a lot of folks who were from the Midwest staying
in this area too. People we could carry on conversations about being glad to be out of the cold for a while and sharing ideas about great places to eat and things to do. The condo itself was as clean as we had hoped and the
morning coffee from our choice of balconies was one of the reasons we came down from Wisconsin in the first place. We wanted to take those moments home with us to remember. We have made plans already to come back to Barrier Dunes next winter. We think we have found a place that fills all the requirements on our list of things we were after. We are also glad to have Wendy to make recommendations and coach us on our first adventure down here to stay for an extended time. We are looking forward to many more trips to come."

"Stepped on a Pop Tart is a great town home that is furnished nicely and kid friendly. There were board games and toys for the kids to play with and the beach was a very short walk from home and had a board walk all the way. The home was very clean and cared for. We had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves the whole time. We had the beach and pool pretty much to ourselves the entire week. Highly recommend "Stepped on a Pop Tart" and look forward to staying here again."
