  • Total peace & solitude

"We loved every minute of this vacation. The house is even better than the photos, and the location is great. Our dog loved the ocean during the day, and sitting on the deck on an evening, as did we. We recommend eating at Cone Heads, just round the corner and also Joe Mama's Wood Fired Pizza in Cape St. Joe."

  • Winter Escapees

"We left behind sub-zero temperatures and record snowfalls to relax and recharge at this beautiful property and location. We started each morning with gorgeous views of St. Joseph Bay, all showcasing the bay in all its moods. Most days included at least 1 walk on the dog-friendly beaches of the gulf where our little dogs had lots of friendly encounters -- and so did we. The white sand beaches were clean and uncrowded, great for walking miles in either direction and even stopping off for some ice cream or coffee at the Trading Post before strolling back. We had lots of ways to fill our days - from the Gumbo Cook-off in Mexico Beach, the art gallery on St. George Island, hiking in St. Joseph Bay State Park, and lots of visits to the fishing village of Apalachicola. Don't miss eating at Coneheads on Cape San Blas, Indian Pass Raw Bar, and both The Owl and Up the Creek Raw Bar in Apalachicola. Bay Dream itself was definitely a home away from home. The kitchen is well equipped, the laundry room handy, the beds all very comfortable, the screened porch private and relaxing, and the the decks, each with a swing, both great spots for watching the birds and having coffee or a glass of wine. Cell phone service on the Cape is sometimes a bit spotty, but with all the opportunities to connect with nature, just relax and don't worry about it. Patsy (the owner) was great to work with, very laid back and friendly yet quick to take care of any questions or concerns. She clearly wants her guests to enjoy their stay on the Cape. The lane to the property had been recently re-rocked as she had indicated, and she quickly sent someone to fix the outside dryer vent that blew off in a rather spectacular thunderstorm one night. We ended our month-long stay with a stunning Gulf sunset, a reminder of all the beauty we enjoyed on the Cape. We would definitely recommend this property and this destination. We will be back. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Patsy, and helping us meet Chip, Robert, Louise, and Maggie the Westie, all great neighbors!"

  • Cape Daze will amaze!

"A week is never long enough! I work a crazy job and I love getting away from it and coming to CSB. Cape Daze is a beautiful, comfortable home. Everything met and exceeded expectations. This is the first home I have rented on the Cape (6 so far) that had a well-stocked kitchen that had everything, from spices to other kitchen supplies. (Although I have to admit, we went to Appalachicola several times since we love to take our dog out to eat with us. They have several dog-friendly restaurants in which the restaurant staff brings your pup water and you can sit outside and watch the Florida scenery.) The house was very clean and well maintained. We loved the color and decor! We had a bit of difficulty with our dog dealing with the wood stairs inside but was quite comfortable with the outside stairs, so no problems there. (He's not used to wood floors which is why we brought sheets so he could maneuver around. Crazy lab!) The beach view was wonderful from the home. We didn't get to spend as much time walking on the beach due to the crazy flies. I learned more about dog flies than I care to know from the locals. They stay a short time this time of year, but their stay is memorable with their nasty biting. But that had nothing to do with the wonderful home. I always bring binoculars to watch the dolphins, which didn't disappoint. I did not even need them because about six dolphins put on a show right in front of us, popping up out of the water and dancing with each other. Eat your heart out, SeaWorld! I would like to thank the Lounsbury's for renting their home to us. Thank you for your quick and friendly communication. I have utilized a couple of rental companies on CSB and Coastal Joe seemed to be the most professional and their cleaning staff do a great job. I would definitely rent this home again as long as the Lounsbury's own it. They have put a lot of love into it and it's well taken care of. Thank you!"

  • Gloriline Does Not Disappoint

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great house! A short walk across a boardwalk to a dog-friendly beach. We choose this location to get away. This is not Destin or PC - this is a quiet oasis to allows you to unplug and relax. Gloriline has all the amenities that you could possibly need for a rental property and more. Don't pass this by. Manager responded on 9/2/2014: Thank you for your review of Gloriline on Cape San Blas. We are so pleased your vacation time was relaxing! Gloriline as a vacation home is such a unique treasure and the Cape San Blas area itself is vintage Florida. Both offer the perfect place to unplug and unwind. We hope you will visit again soon!"
