"Intermittently, I've been coming to Cape San Blas for the past 20+ years, and have not found a more well taken care of home. As it happens, this was our second stay, this year, on CSB, where we returned to the comforts and cleanliness of R&R. We no longer have to search for the right fit, as R&R is it. The house is a short walk to the beach - maybe 100 or so steps, and situated on a quiet road with a few other beach homes on either side. I cannot say enough about the owners. They are very thoughtful and welcoming, as they inlcuded a couple bags of charcoal, firewood and a freezer filled with ice. Also, I was quite pleased to learn they do not allow pets or smokers, as I have asthma, and both exacerbate my symptoms. Knowing we are in a home where the owners truly respect their property and guests is what will keep us returning to R&R - well, that and the magnificent beauty of CSB - its sunsets, quaintness, and residential charm."

"Bayside Cottage is a superb vacation destination in a stunning location. The cottage is well equipped and immaculately clean. Fabulous beaches within a short drive and stunning sunsets across the bay. Don't hesitate to book this place!"

The house is wonderful but enjoying stay can depend on neighbors
"The house itself was wonderful, which is why despite some negative experiences, I still rated it well. The stairs were definitely a little work out but we didn't mind. The walk to the beach was close and easy. Being walking distance to the store was helpful. As mentioned in another review, the doughnuts at the shop down the road were soooo good. The major negative from our visit was the group of 30+ staying in the homes directly behind us that shared the community pool. They ignored the "private" sign on the boardwalk and frequently walked through the property; regardless if we were outside or not. As a mom, I didn't appreciate strangers strolling past the out door shower area while my children were getting cleaned up. The fact that they ignored the posted sign at the beach entrance as well as the sign at the home entrance was beyond irritating. Not once did they even acknowledge or ask if they could use our property instead of the provided community access. This large group occupied the community pool almost every evening. We attempted to go to the pool one evening while that group was there but many of the adults were intoxicated and the behavior and language was not appropriate for my children to witness. We felt we couldn't complain because with them being such a large group (and a couple of days occupying the beach space directly in front of the house and leaving their belongings at our board walk entrance most of the week) we didn't want them to be angry with us and make our stay even more uncomfortable. I recognize there is really nothing the owner of McCosh can really do, other than maybe gate the board walk which a couple other homes had done, but it certainly affected our stay. It is something we will take into consideration the next time we vacation. We have never had a situation like this occur and we never thought to question the location of homes near by and their beach access. We chose Cape San Blas for it's uncrowded beaches and some privacy. Unfortunately with the constant parade of strangers strolling under the home, around our personal belongings we had sat outside, it made it difficult to relax. I am sure most travelers won't have the same experience but it is something to consider when choosing a home"
