Can't wait to get back again!
"Thanks Lois & Tim for a great week in CSB!
The townhouse is comfortable, relaxing, and completely equipped. Beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes (2) , etc. Comfy beds, three great decks and spacious carport. The ponds with turtles & fish were fun. Owners are great to work with and very responsive. Two nice pools with one being only steps away from this townhouse. The community is very quite (at least while we were there). The beach is a short walk and there are 2 access points from the complex, do keep in mind that you cannot drive to these access points and park. Two great restaurants The Sand Bucket & Cone Heads are close by. Do go to the bay via the State Park it is beautiful! Another great spot is the boat ramp pavilion park in Port St. Joe. Keep in mind that the closest grocery store is in Port St. Joe (Piggly Wiggly, 20 min. drive) and keep in mind they close at 9PM."

"Just finishing up a 7 week stay at the Chunky Monkey. We loved it! Great beach where we could walk our dog and visit neighbours. The house was all we expected, spacious, clean, and well furnished. Any minor issues we had were immediately rectified. We loved the large open main floor and the comfortable master bedroom. Guests very comfortable in the other 2 queen bedrooms. Usually we are happy to head home after our winter respite, but this year we are reluctant to leave. We will be back!"

"We had such a great time at Congo Bongo. Absolutely loved the screened-in porch with a view of the lagoon. Loved the location with about 20 mins drive to Apalachicola and into Port St. Joe with lots of great places to enjoy. Had a wonderful time celebrating my 50th Birthday here with a very relaxing time!"

"My mom called and asked me to plan a beach vacation for my parents, grown siblings with spouses, and pets. I began looking in Cape San Blas knowing it would have activities to entertain everyone and pet friendly beaches. It did not disappoint!
This lovely home sits right on the water with a long dock out over the bay. I say "home" because it truly feels like home. The decorations, the stocked kitchen, and personal photos seem as if Patsy has giving you the keys to her home while she's simply out of town.
There are several steps leading up to the house and then up to the master suite. We intended to allow our parents to stay in the master suite, but after seeing the stairs decided to give them the option of staying on the main floor. However once my mom saw the master suite with a private balcony and view of the bay she said the climb was worth it!
The bay is shallow and the eel grass is thick. It was full of scallops and this is where you want to be when the season opens!
The beach is across the road but we found the prettiest area by going to the public access about 1 mile further up the Cape. I had Smiley's Beach Rental deliver chairs and umbrellas. They set them up on the beach and left them for our use all week. This is a must and makes time at the beach so enjoyable.
The vacation was wonderful! We snorkled and fished in the Bay, rode waves in the ocean, saw turtle tracks and a nest being recorded (it was egg-laying season and several came up the beach during our stay). We'd all return to this lovely home for good home-cooked meals (thank you mom), talk about our adventures until late in the evening, go to sleep in comfortable beds, and do it all again the next day.
Other perks include: Outdoor shower, ice maker, large decks, screened porch with loungers, incredible bay view, outdoor dining area, televisions in every room with great reception (perfect for a rainy day), pet friendly, and very responsive owner.
I've been coming to the Cape for years and each time stayed beach side, but this limits the Cape experience. The Bay is wonderful and holds so much activity for all ages. You'll go to the beach if you stay bayside, but you may not think about the bay if you stay beachside and you'll lose half the real fun of the Cape!"
