  • Great Vacation!!

"We had a great time at Beachfront Paradise. Sunset Reflections' staff were easy to work with and very accommodating. Even though it rained 4 out of the 7 days we were at Port St. Joe, we enjoyed our time relaxing in this home. The rooms were very spacious and accommodated our family of 9 with no problem. The kids loved the heated pool!! We enjoyed relaxing at the screened in porch chairs and watching the dolphins swim in the gulf. The pictures posted on your website were accurate. The home has been well maintained and does not have a musty smell like other beach homes we have rented. The home was nice and clean upon our arrival. We would love to return in the future!!"

  • Paradise

"This was my first time to Cape San Bas and I fell in love. The white sandy beaches, the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly people and pet owners. My dog thought this was a vacation for her (it was), but my family and friends had a great time. It felt like my home away from home. I will return."

  • Excellent Family Vacation

"We came down during the last week of spring with our 3 kids and my mother-in-law. The place was great! We have 2 teenage girls who stayed in the small room. It was maybe a tad small for them (Probably perfect space for 12 and under, but certainly doable for teen girls who are low maintenance) , but they didn't spend much time there anyway. They were down by the pool, or out to the beach, or hanging out on the living room couch and deck looking out at the gulf. The 5 shower head shower was a hit! We felt so at home, everything you'd need for cooking your own meals. The grill got plenty of use from the red snapper that we caught and the steaks that we brought. Great view from the deck. Easy to find. Plenty of beach and pool toys/chairs etc... I think a real highlight of this trip was the genuinely super people that we met. The people on the Forgotten Coast of Florida might just be the nicest people on earth. It's a short drive into Port St. Joe's and not much further to Mexico Beach. We enjoyed Killer's seafood in Mexico Beach. The Sandbucket 2 doors down. Triple Tail (deck seating that is dog friendly or inside with a cold drink and good food). Took advantage of the Family Fun pass and rode horses on the beach and went fishing on the gulf for Red Snapper. If you love high rise hotels and crazy beach bars that play loud music and are looking for the "MTV spring break".... this isn't your place, but if you are looking for natural beauty, well maintained lightly used beaches with white sand... this is your place. We will certainly be back."

  • Cape San Blas was a perfect fit for us

"After researching literally months trying to match our hopes of a pristine quiet beach, a safe community, a place where dogs are welcome (yet the owners care about clean healthy surroundings) and a nice place to stay that was not too crowded....... we found Barrier Dunes. We found "The cape" to be the get-a-way spot we were after. There were few kids or students this time of year and no commotion going on to take attention away from the sounds of the ocean. We were very pleased at how clean everyone kept the community, the beach itself and the general area along the pathways that are in many places littered with cigarette butts and scraps of discarded debris. Our beach-front condo (SeaScape) was great for us, being that this was our first shot at snow-birding, we had to be right on the beach, and boy were we ever. 30 steps from the nicest, cleanest sand that we could have ever imagined. We were very pleased to find a lot of folks who were from the Midwest staying in this area too. People we could carry on conversations about being glad to be out of the cold for a while and sharing ideas about great places to eat and things to do. The condo itself was as clean as we had hoped and the morning coffee from our choice of balconies was one of the reasons we came down from Wisconsin in the first place. We wanted to take those moments home with us to remember. We have made plans already to come back to Barrier Dunes next winter. We think we have found a place that fills all the requirements on our list of things we were after. We are also glad to have Wendy to make recommendations and coach us on our first adventure down here to stay for an extended time. We are looking forward to many more trips to come."
