  • Best January Ever!

"Heavenly Palms "was" heaven. The house was very well maintained, clean, convenient to the beach and in a wonderful neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. The elevator was a lifesaver!"

  • Comfortable Home

"We were able to rent Pineapple Plantation on short notice and the house was available for 4 nights. MY wife and 2 girls enjoyed the house and how close it was to the beach. The pool was real handy and added to the features of the house. Looking forward to coming back soon"

  • Cape San Blas was a perfect fit for us

"After researching literally months trying to match our hopes of a pristine quiet beach, a safe community, a place where dogs are welcome (yet the owners care about clean healthy surroundings) and a nice place to stay that was not too crowded....... we found Barrier Dunes. We found "The cape" to be the get-a-way spot we were after. There were few kids or students this time of year and no commotion going on to take attention away from the sounds of the ocean. We were very pleased at how clean everyone kept the community, the beach itself and the general area along the pathways that are in many places littered with cigarette butts and scraps of discarded debris. Our beach-front condo (SeaScape) was great for us, being that this was our first shot at snow-birding, we had to be right on the beach, and boy were we ever. 30 steps from the nicest, cleanest sand that we could have ever imagined. We were very pleased to find a lot of folks who were from the Midwest staying in this area too. People we could carry on conversations about being glad to be out of the cold for a while and sharing ideas about great places to eat and things to do. The condo itself was as clean as we had hoped and the morning coffee from our choice of balconies was one of the reasons we came down from Wisconsin in the first place. We wanted to take those moments home with us to remember. We have made plans already to come back to Barrier Dunes next winter. We think we have found a place that fills all the requirements on our list of things we were after. We are also glad to have Wendy to make recommendations and coach us on our first adventure down here to stay for an extended time. We are looking forward to many more trips to come."

  • Great Stay at the Cape

"I have been to the Cape a few times but never stayed. We couldn't take a full week off during our son's spring break this year but were able to squeeze a 3 night stay at Seascape in Barrier Dunes. The place was really nice. I was surprised by the quality of the furnishings. Better than most we have stayed in. Everything was neat and in working order. The neighborhood was really nice and well maintained. The boys had a great time fishing in the ponds and caught several bass and a few bream. The beach pool was still cool but swimmable. The beach was in great shape. The only recommendation that I would have for the owner is to possibly upgrade the patio furniture. The pvc stuff is just a little flimsy. Be aware that the only beach view is from the deck off the master which is up stairs from the main living area."
