Carrabelle Travel Tips

Carrabelle Vacation Rentals on the Gulf of Mexico

Nestled in the Florida pan handle on the Gulf of Mexico coast, your Carrabelle vacation rental will offer a beautiful view of the water with miles of white sand beaches to explore. This flourishing fishing village welcomes visitors with open arms. Not only can you enjoy the dining spoils of commercial game fishing, shrimping, and oystering, but you can also get in on the fun by doing some recreational game fishing yourself. Just west of town, visitors can check out the Crooked River Lighthouse located on Highway 98.

Carrabelle Condos in a Beautiful Natural Setting

Carrabelle condos are set in the midst of the Apalachicola National Forest and near Tate's Hell State Forest, both of which offer beautiful scenic trails to enjoy. Travel from your Carrabelle vacation rental to Dog Island, a remote island of sand beaches, pine forests, and marshes off the Carrabelle coast that is only accessible by boat or plane. Take a 40 minute drive east of Carrabelle to Wakulla Springs where you can enjoy jungle tours in glass-bottom boats, natural trails, swimming, and picnic areas. Several beaches and State Parks are near the area as well, including Alligator Point, Carrabelle Beach, and St. George Island State Park.

North West Waterfront Rentals Near Tallahassee

Tallahassee is a mere hour and a half drive from many Carrabelle vacation rentals. Take the family to the Tallahassee Museum or see a movie on the five story IMAX theater screen. Several other small museums are spread around the city, including the Antique Car Museum and Florida Korean War Museum. Enjoy some shopping in downtown Tallahassee or visit one of the several recreational areas. Call it a day and drive back to North West waterfront rentals or Carrabelle condos for the relaxing sounds of the water on the beach.
