  • Great vacation for a great price!

"For the past several years, I have stayed in Destin but this time I decided to stay in FWB. I'm so glad I did. Much less traffic, so convenient. This condo was very nice. The owners were awesome to work with. It's very well maintained, and quite comfortable. I only have three complaints which are really no big deal; first is the noise level from the swimming pool. This condo is right above the pool and there were so many kids crying at all hours. It became a distraction and was sometimes hard to relax. This is not the fault of the owner by any means, but poor planning on the design of the condos. Secondly, one of the things that helped me decide on this place was the fact that there was a hot tub. I love relaxing in a hot tub at the end of the day. Problem was, only 2 of the jets actually worked so there wasn't much power. So much for relaxin! Lastly was the fact that there was not a hair dryer in the unit. Though it wasn't advertised, I'm so use to places having a dryer that I didn't bring one. I had to go buy one. I left it in the unit though so maybe someone else who is use to them being furnished will have one. All in all, it was a wonderful place. Most places don't require a security deposit, but they did. I was very pleased to receive my desposit back in my account within 72 hours of my departure. I would highly recommend this unit and I personally plan to stay here in the future. Thanks for such a great vacation."

  • Fun Times!

"We just returned from our visit & had a fabulous time! The kitchen was stocked to the max with everything you could imagine possibly needing! The view of the beach/ocean was amazing. The maintenance man was easy to contact and quick to respond when we had an issue with the A/C unit upon arrival. The rental process was smooth and seamless, making our trip a stress free event for the whole family! Loved the fact that the beach service is included so we didn't have to lug our chairs and umbrella down to the beach everyday!"

  • Beautiful condo and resort

"We had a wonderful experience. The Islander is far enough down the coast that it is a little quieter and less commercialized than staying in Destin. We enjoyed the more relaxed setting. Still, there was a Publix and a Tom Thumb very close for any food/drink/grocery needs. You don't realize how nice the keypad entry is on the door of the unit until you don't have to worry about keeping track of a key every time you go to the beach. The unit is very conveniently located near the elevator, but there was no noise. We took advantage of the included beach chairs and umbrella every day. We could enjoy the view and sounds from the balcony 24/7!! We even got to see some dolphins! We loved the size of the pool, how clean the pool deck was kept by the staff, and how many chairs were provided on the pool deck. The pool and deck never seemed overly crowded and there were always chairs available even though we were there during the "peak" season. Another big plus was that the pool is on the beach side of the condo, so we didn't have to look at a bunch of cars while we swam. We were there over the 4th of July holiday, so we went down to the water that evening and could literally watch three fireworks displays in three different directions at the same time. The unit itself is well-furnished with all the kitchen utensils and linens we needed. Both king-sized beds were very comfortable. TV's were wall-mounted in the bedrooms, which was nice. The tile floor was also beautiful. There were even a couple of boogie boards and noodles left in the storage room, which our children took full advantage of. The only negative of the whole trip was there was a lot of June grass in the water this time of year, but that isn't the fault of the owner or the condo. We simply had to walk up or down the beach a short distance until we found a "clean" spot. From talking to some of the locals, the June grass seems to be a bit heavier in 2014. The white sand of the beach is still breath-taking and our overall experience was wonderful. We will definitely stay in Unit 5006 again when we return to Okaloosa Island."

  • Beautiful Condo!

"My husband and I stayed at Summerlin in late September 2014. This was our second visit to Tina & Scott's lovely condo. The 3rd floor view is gorgeous from both the master and living room. The condo was neat and clean when we arrived and the owners were quick to respond to questions we had before and during our stay. Summerlin is quiet without all the congestion of the other areas on the Island; but it takes only minutes to reach most of the popular restaurants and shopping. We have and would recommend this condo. We plan to return next year. Summerlin is a wonderful home away from home!"
