"We just spent a week at Seagull Landing with six adults and three young children, and we couldn't have been happier with the house and the area. Somewhat secluded but a short walk or drive to everything, it was quiet, very clean, and first class. The house was amazing - we all had quiet spots where we could go to read or just be alone, but there was plenty of room to accommodate everyone in the kitchen/dining area. We had both pools pretty much to ourselves, and the beaches were beautiful and quiet. We would definitely recommend this house to others and hope to visit again ourselves."Guest: Utah Family Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 14, 2014View listing
"We had 4 fantastic nights at this condo. I loved every minute of it. Its a quiet "laid back" town, very relaxing. Our teens loved the pool & the local shops. Beach was just across the street, and the sunsets were gorgeous."Guest: Christy F. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 11, 2014View listing
"Our stay was wonderful. The house was perfect, very close to the beach and an amazing pool in the backyard when we got tired of the sand. There were 5 adults and 3 children in our party and the house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us. The owner was so easy to work with and made it a pleasant experience for us. Would highly recommend to others, we would definitely return."Guest: Theresa Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 22, 2014View listing
"House was exactly as described. Right on the beach, not crowded. House is very comfortable and CLEAN!! My husband is always a "mountain" family vacation guy and does not like the beach, needless to say when he said that we could try the beach this year immediately this house was what I choose. Very nervous but VERY PLEASED with my choice. My husband says that we are now annual renters because my family had the BEST & MOST RELAXING VACATION EVER!! Plenty of rooms/beds. My mom, daughter, & son all had their own rooms. We loved the sun room and deck. We used the provided sun umbrellas and they were very nice. Allowed us to enjoy 6 full days all day on the beach. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place!! SPECIAL THANK YOU TO SUSAN WHO IS AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT TO BOOK YOUR DATES WITH. VERY SPECIAL LADY!! THANKS AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL/CLEAN HOUSE TO ENJOY MAKING FAMILY MEMORIES THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME. Kristie"Guest: Kristie S. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
Mexico Beach Travel Tips
Mexico Beach is a small coastal community located 20 miles east of Panama City Beach along the Florida Panhandle on the "Forgotten Coast." It's a serene destination on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and offers the small-town atmosphere you're looking for in a relaxing tropical getaway. Mexico Beach is considered a "secret" vacation spot among families and some have been coming here for generations.
Nature's beauty is preserved and the beaches are full of life in Mexico Beach. Visitors can head out for some shopping or dining and hike through parks and conservancies during their stay. If you want to see the dolphins play at sunset, Mexico Beach is the place to do it. The most favorite pasttime among visitors and locals is swimming in the clear waters.
Mexico Beach Attractions
Beaches: Some of the best beaches in the country are found in Mexico Beach. The sand is made up of nearly 12 different materials and contains quartz crystals. There are no rivers that flow through Mexico Beach so the sand is pure and white, and since it's reflective it doesn't get hot during the summer. Visitors to Mexico Beach get to enjoy 5 miles of the coastline with plenty of public beach access. If you're lucky, you may even get to see a sea turtle. Five endangered species venture onto the shore in Mexico Beach to create nests for their eggs.
Diving: There's easy access to several dive sites off of the coast of Mexico Beach that are perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling and spearfishing. Visitors will enjoy the beauty of the natural and artificial reefs as well as the shipwreck sites. The Empire Mica is a wreck site that will give divers a world-class experience in 105 feet of water. There's also the lumber ship Vamar, which lies 27 feet below the surface near the Bell Shoal area. It's accessible by scuba divers and snorkelers, and is even visible from the surface.
Things to Do in Mexico Beach
Dining: You'll find everything you could want to eat in Mexico Beach. From mom-and-pop eateries to restaurants featuring live entertainment, everyone in the family will find a new favorite food.
