  • Enjoyed our stay

"Enjoyed our stay! Loved the sound of the waves hitting the shore at night! The Condo was beautifully decorated and very comfortable! We would stay here again for sure! (The King size bed was a little too firm for me, but other than that it was awesome!) The pool area was clean and well kept."

  • Family time in Navarre Beach

"This unit was a spacious and well decorated/furnished condo. The balcony and view were fantastic. Access and parking were easy and close by. New outdoor grills were being installed,so we had to share one gas grill with a lot of other folks. The pool and beach are fantastic. We enjoyed a more relaxing, and less commercialized experience than at Destin and the other costal resort cities. We will definitely stay in this condo again, but it is wise to bring extra paper goods, laundry and dish/dishwasher and hand soaps for your own use. The managers only provided a court or day's supply of these necessities."

  • Perfect condo for our family on a perfect beach

"The view from the 12th floor condo is amazing. The beach is breath-taking and not crowded. (We were there the last week of March.) Boogie boards, sand toys, and beach chairs were in the closet for us to use, which we did. We all enjoyed the space inside, too. We're a family of five (3 elementary school aged children) and the condo fit our needs well. The children loved the bunks in the hallway. The property has a couple signs of heavy use (I.e. Worn carpet) but not enough to keep us from going there again. The owner was local and easy to work with."

  • Loved The Owner's And Loved Their Home!

"Plans changed last minute on Saturday, and I decided I wanted to book a condo on the Beach, 1-night stay and very last minute. I'd never tried booking a condo last minute, and started to realize it was about impossible. As I was giving up hope and started looking at different hotel options, the owners returned my call and made it so simple for us to stay in their home that evening! They were incredibly nice on the phone, and told me about the flat mandatory cleaning fee (whether you stay 1 week or 1 night), and all applicable taxes. The owner honestly told me the cleaning fee wasn't cost-effective for a 1-night stay. However, after looking at different hotel options, I was looking to pay about the same price to book 2 adjacent hotel rooms, not on the beach, or even more for a 3-bedroom suite at the Hilton on Pensacola Beach. Therefore, I had absolutely no issue paying the cleaning fee. The owner's home was far more beautiful and comfortable than the photos show! Perfect location, looking over the beach and the heated swimming pool/hot tub. Being only one story above ground level, it was perfect for the member with us who is terrified of heights. As well, if your'e just needing to leave the pool to grab something out of the home really quick, it doesn't take but a couple minutes to run up and back down. Plenty large enough for 2 adults and 3 boys. Had all the dishes utensils needed to cook, if we had decided to cook. We were within short walking distance of a convenience store and a few restaurants, so we dined out for dinner. I only have 2 complaints about SummerWinds facility itself, having absolutely nothing to do with the wonderful owners or their beautiful home. Upon arrival, there was a man and a woman behind the check-in counter. The woman was tied up doing something, so the man greeted us. It was not a very welcoming greeting. He seemed very rude and condescending. I'm pretty sure the woman behind the desk must have overheard him, because she stepped in and basically took over, with a very positive and customer friendly personality. Final complaint about Summerwinds itself, your pool passes are one-size-fits-all rubber bracelets, required to be turned back in upon check-out, otherwise you are charged $5 per lost rubber band. With three little boys playing around in the pool, one managed to slip off his tiny wrist, became lost, and I was appropriately charged $5 for a rubber band. Regardless, WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!"

Navarre Beach Travel Tips

The unincorporated community of Navarre Beach is located on the barrier island of Santa Rosa Island in the Gulf of Mexico. Pensacola Beach is nearby, as is the Gulf Islands National Seashore, a spot that offers recreation for visitors and preserves the historic resources along the Gulf.

Navarre Beach Attractions

The beach is of course the top attraction in Navarre Beach. There are pristine white sand beaches considered some of the best in the country. As you arrive in Navarre Beach and cross the Navarre Bridge, you'll see the crystal, glistening waters and sand that will have you wanting to jump out of the car and run toward the beach. The Gulf Islands National Seashore will leave you gazing in awe as you explore the undeveloped shoreline that is the longest continuous stretch of protected coastline in Northwest Florida.

Head 27 miles north up State Route 87 to Milton where you'll find the Blackwater Heritage State Trail and Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center. The Blackwater Heritage State Trail extends for more than 9 miles and sends visitors through a small town and into the Florida countryside. The entire family will enjoy river and zip adventures as well as kayaking, canoeing and tubing at Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center.

Things to Do in Navarre Beach

- Water Sports: Fishing is popular in Navarre Beach as the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico attract plenty of fish. Opt for a ride on Lucky Chuck Charters for some deep water fishing anywhere in the surrounding area such as Destin, Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola.

- Gulf Breeze Zoo: Venture over to Gulf Breeze and visit the zoo with the family. Kids will love the farm where they'll get to feed treats and play with baby goats, kunekune pigs and guinea pigs. The highlight of the trip to the Gulf Breeze Zoo will certainly be feeding giraffes Gabby, Geronimo and Kenya. Everyone will love the Safari Line Limited Train Ride that travels through a 30 acres of free range preservation featuring gorillas, chimpanzees and hippos. If you opt to view the wildlife preserve via the boardwalk, you'll get to see other animals including the zebra, deer, antelope and rhino.
