"We loved Port St. Joe, situated close to Cape San Blas and the state park, and also Mexico Beach. This is for those who want to experience "the real Florida", and a real small town with history. The Crab Shack had comfortable beds and more than enough room to stretch out. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the cottage was clean and in a quiet neighborhood with big towering pines. At night we sat on the back deck and watched the stars through the canopy of trees. We kayaked and snorkeled, rode horses on the beach, went fishing, and of course, played at the beautiful beaches, especially at the state park, without the crowds that flock farther up 30A. The only wish I had was that the restaurants would stay open later and on Sunday. We didn't give ourselves enough time to enjoy all there was to explore and experience, but it was a very comfortable place to stay, relax and feel at home."

"The townhouse was quite nice and had everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen and lots of towels including beach towels. We only used the master bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The balcony from the master provided a great view. Parking was right outside the door as was the swimming pool for the 12 units. It was great to have a phone with long distance provided as cell service was limited to non-existent.
The pictures however, don’t show the current condition of the bayou. It overflowed and now runs in front of the villas blocking access to the beach and gulf. There is no boardwalk to the beach as listed. You have to either walk through the murky water of the bayou or go up the street and use the neighbor’s private bridge to cross the bayou. If taking chairs, cooler, children etc. it’s not a convenient option and only residents with a permit can drive on the beach. Again, the house was wonderful but I suggest you request current pictures or confirm whether it is actually beach/gulf front or not."

"We stayed in the beautiful house for Spring Break 2015. The house is fantastic! It is right on the beach and we rarely saw very many people. We loved grilling outside and even got some steamed crabs and ate right on the porch. There's a good fresh seafood market in Mexico Beach which is only a few miles west. There is a bar/restaurant just across the street, with good raw oysters and beer, too. We never had a complaint about the noise from the bar, however. Driving to Port St. Joe (just a couple miles East) was nice, too. Great restaurants there and some cute boutique shopping. And the nicest people! We also went into Apalachicola for more oysters and shopping, which is 20-30 minutes. You could spend the better part of the day in Apalachicola, but we preferred being at the house, relaxing on the porches or at the beach. The neighborhood where the house is situated is very casual and comfortable, but the house is VERY nice! And comfortable. We love the area and hope to get back there soon. We would definitely stay in this house! Thank you! Just note that the house is 3 stories to walk up, but it was good exercise for us!"

"We arrived to an amazing almost secluded location. The bayou was elevated and obstructed a straight shot to the beach which some considered a nuisance, but for us we did not mind it. We actually didn't mind walking a little farther with the dogs to take the bridge across the bayou to the beach. It gave our dogs a chance to wear down a little. The complex was very clean and even had a place for our dog crate under the stairs and out of the way. The kitchen was fully equipped which we never used. We preferred finding all the litthe places to eat and explore. The beach is very pet friendly just don't forget your waste bags. We saw a ton of wildlife (dolphins, manta rays, crabs, and all sorts of fish). The pool was very clean and a nice area to relax at once the dogs were worn out at the beach. We would definately stay here again. The owners even have a few puzzles, crab trap, and some beach chairs on site. You will not get cell service at this condo so come ready to relax. We lived it and can't wait to come back"
