  • An Amazing Stay in a Beautiful Place

"My 5 kids, my wife and I stayed at the “Put Your Bathing Suit On” property at Port Saint Joe, FL. from May 11-15 2015. We had never rented a house for a vacation before but if this stay is a representation of all rentals than I will gladly rent again. The owner was gracious and helpful. The property is gorgeous. Our experience was once in a lifetime. We chose this property because Port St. Joe isn’t a touristy area. We were tired of the crowded beaches, noise and constant bustle of the tourist beaches and wanted to try something different and I’m so glad we did. The beach.. Man, the beach.. I could sit on that beach all day. The waves aren’t big enough that we had to really worry about our older kids (8,9 & 10) getting hurt but they were big enough that they had fun body-boarding. The sand was excellent for my 3 yr old to play in. She made lots of “sand castles” which were just piles of sand. At one point my older 3 kids and I were in the water body-boarding and I saw the ground moving. It took me a few seconds to realize that we were surrounded by a school of sting rays. As a man who has probably spent a total of 10 days throughout my whole life near the ocean, I had no idea what to think so I calmly told my kids to get out of the water and once they were out, I told them and showed them the rays as they passed. Needless to say we didn’t go back into the beach that day as I explained to them that the ocean was a living thing full of all kinds of creatures. Throughout our stay the next few days we were greeted by a large crab and a dolphin that literally came ten feet from us! It was amazing! The house itself was so comfortable. The views from the deck are like no other. We sat on the deck and had dinner, listening to the ocean and enjoying the breeze. They have great wifi, several tv’s throughout the house, the king bed on the second floor is literally the most comfortable bed I’ve ever laid on. Had I not been horribly sunburned after the first day (much to my wife’s amusement), it would’ve been heavenly, sleeping on that bed. The loft upstairs was perfect for my kids and my wife and I put the kitchen to good use. There are board games and puzzles provided under the window lounging area in the dining room and we had a fun game night with those as well. All in all, if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay about an hour from Panama City this place cannot be beat. We have zero complaints and made memories that will last a lifetime.."

  • Great House

"We stayed in the beautiful house for Spring Break 2015. The house is fantastic! It is right on the beach and we rarely saw very many people. We loved grilling outside and even got some steamed crabs and ate right on the porch. There's a good fresh seafood market in Mexico Beach which is only a few miles west. There is a bar/restaurant just across the street, with good raw oysters and beer, too. We never had a complaint about the noise from the bar, however. Driving to Port St. Joe (just a couple miles East) was nice, too. Great restaurants there and some cute boutique shopping. And the nicest people! We also went into Apalachicola for more oysters and shopping, which is 20-30 minutes. You could spend the better part of the day in Apalachicola, but we preferred being at the house, relaxing on the porches or at the beach. The neighborhood where the house is situated is very casual and comfortable, but the house is VERY nice! And comfortable. We love the area and hope to get back there soon. We would definitely stay in this house! Thank you! Just note that the house is 3 stories to walk up, but it was good exercise for us!"

  • Great place to stay!

"We loved the house and location. It was adorable, comfortable, had every imaginable kitchen utensil and wifi. We were there for a wedding so didn't get to go out on the water. Heard the fishing is great. Loved the location across from the bay and Cape san blas should not be missed! Lovely stay!"
