  • Great for families!

"We spent our family Spring break here and had a blast! Perfect size for our family of 4. Our kids (4 and 8 yo) loved the pool and the loft! The bike path is so close. Aunt Ebby's is also, dangerously so! There are a lot of stairs, which is a common thing on the island. The kitchen was well stocked and the house clean! The Black Marlin is next door for dinner! I would recommend!"

  • Great Family Vacation

"We had a great family vacation at the Salty Seagull. Had the whole family (mom/dad, 4 young adult children, 1 teenager, a 2 year old and a 2 month old) down for vacation together. This place was better than advertised. They have everything you need for your stay at the beach: bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The beach access directly across the road was very convenient and not a problem (due to the short distance) if you forgot something at the house and had to go back for it. The house was clean, comfortable and the pictures probably don't do it justice. The hot tub/spa was great for the adults as well as the children, and the area where is it located is perfect for grilling in the afternoons with the grill provided. Peter and Sara greeted us as we arrived and truly welcomed us into their home. They could not have been any nicer or more helpful. They were truly gracious with everything they have there. The beach was beautiful; we saw dolphins every day; collected shells, found huge starfish and sand dollars, as well as other sea creatures; fishing from shore was great. We went kayaking in the bay and gulf and there was easy access to both. There were bicycle/running paths all over the island that were great, of which we enjoyed riding the bikes provided on. The Island is beautiful and a great place to have a quiet vacation with family. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends and hope to return in the future."

  • Hidden gem!

"Two families of four had a wonderful time at Seaview! From entering a very clean and inviting house to sadly leaving the last day we couldn't have had a better time. Seaview is set up for a perfect family vacation. A short walk across the street to the beach to play all day, and back to the house to swim, soak in the hot tub, make s'mores and relax on the porch at night. We brought groceries and bought some there at the IGA and Piggly Wiggly about 15 min. away in Apalachicola. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make and eat our meals. We ordered pizza a couple nights and highly recommend BJ's! You won't find a crazy spring break scene at St. George Island-- it is not a traditional spring break location- it's a quiet, quaint, scenic island with lots of uncrowded beach and shells to explore. We rented a boat one night for a pirate/sunset cruise and drove about 45 min. to go horseback riding at Cape San Blas. Other than that, we were on the island, soaking up the sun and playing at the beach. We were at Seaview from March 28-April 4. Our weather was perfect- in the 70s with a light breeze. We got plenty of sun without sweating, yet it was warm enough to swim as well. We had a problem with the oven one night and had to call the owner, David. We immediately were given some suggestions, which ended up working, but before that worked there was no hesitation in an offer to get a repairman out the next day. Everyone appreciated the strong wi-fi in the house. We did not need the fireplace, but that would have been fun if we needed it. The only thing I would recommend is to bring some extra towels and kitchen dishtowels. 6 sets of towels and washcloths were set out as well as 1 dish cloth and 2 dishtowels. We made it work, but had we known we would have brought an extra set from home. Everything else we needed was there- dishwasher soap, liquid dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, bed linens, extra blankets, pillows, etc. Overall, we would definitely go back and hope to next year!"

  • A Great Escape from the cold and snow!

"This condo was just as described. We found it bright, clean, simply yet tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well-equipped. We were so excited to be right on the beach and witnessed 4 glorious sunrises. Unfortunately many of the other mornings were cloudy...something beyond anyone's control! The condo is centrally located, close to several shops, food markets, restaurants, and the light house. When the weather was too chilly for the beach we enjoyed watching a variety of DVDs. The owner was so easy to communicate with and added much to making our stay a pleasant one. We would highly recommend this condo and the location for anyone wanting to escape to a beautiful secluded island."
