  • Fabulous St George Island

"Great house in a fabulous location , pool was wonderful we paid for heating and the temperature was great for swimming all week ...the only down side was the dishwasher was broken and didn't get fixed all week so no holiday for my hands and the outside furniture was in need of some cushions especially on the deck and around the pool spoilt the book reading"

  • Beach Family Vacation

"Just returned from a week of family vacation at Dragon's Lair! Setting was beautiful and house included amenities that kept the interest of ALL family members (young and old). House is well stocked, nicely furnished and there is enough space for all. Property exceeded our expectations and was a nice spot for family vacation. We would return to this oasis in a heartbeat if it was beachfront and had an elevator, but for the price--it was perfect!"

  • Incredible View!

"We chose Tradewinds because it appeared to be a perfect setting for a family gathering, a family that enjoys spending time together no less! Our instincts were dead on. The expansive living room was perfect! The community itself was quiet and beautiful. The beach was extraordinary as was the fishing, biking, strolling, reading.... Perfect for typical beach-time leisure. The elevator was spacious enough for Mom's wheelchair which was a first! Most non-commercial elevators we've dealt with require a shoehorn and a contortionist. This one accommodated Mom and a passenger which as you might imagine was a must. All of the above coupled with comfortable beds made and a gracious owner made for a wonderful week. Thanks!"

  • Wonderful vacation at Morningside by the Sea!

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at Morningside by the Sea. The home was very clean and ready for our arrival. The home had (has) a well-stocked kitchen in terms of utensils, pots, pans, etc. The beds were great and had (has) nice linens. The owner of the unit was a pleasure to deal with as was the rental firm. The beach is a very close walk nearby. I like that the unit is in a gated community; there were never more than 5-6 other people nearby on the beach (first week of April). This unit is great for families with teenagers who need their own space, or for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. But I wouldn't recommend this unit for families with small children as the two smaller bedrooms are on the 1st floor and the MBR is on the 2nd floor. I would also not recommend this property for older folks (or those with knee problems or other disabilities, etc.) who may have trouble navigating the tight narrow stairwell up to the 2nd floor where the MBR, kitchen, and family room are relocated. A suggestion for the owner would be to dramatically improve the LCD TV (incredibly small, and poor reception) & DVD combo in the family area. The home also has a very nice large screened in porch with a picnic table, rocking chairs, etc. (but again on the 2nd floor). Lots of stair-climbing in this home. But would definitely stay here again! Just a note that there are no restaurants in the gated community, and only a handful outside the gated community on St. George Island. If you're looking for 'night life' or a wide selection of eateries, St. George isn't the place (4-5 restaurants on the island, plus a Subway sandwich shop). But if you're looking for a quaint small mostly undeveloped community where everyone is friendly and you can feel safe, then I highly suggest St. George Island!"
