"This was our first trip to St. George Island and A Reel Deal and we hope that it won't be our last. We didn't arrive until midnight, exhausted after a 14 hour day of travel and the house was set up perfectly, very inviting and clean. The best part was waking up the following morning to see what we really had! Gorgeous views, privacy and a fabulous house perfectly arranged for our situation - 2 couples and our dogs. 2 beautiful master suites so that no one felt they had the lesser accommodations, large very functional kitchen, perfect for group cooking, and open to the dining and living area so we could enjoy the company and views from every spot! Not many people on the beach so it was like we had our own private island but the people that we did meet were very friendly. We fished, kayaked, walked on the beach and hiked along some of the trails on the bay side. (Just be aware of the large and hungry mosquitos in the sheltered woods on the bay - even in November!). If you need lots of commercial entertainment, then this probably isn't the place to get that although Apalachicola was a short drive and offers great restaurants and some shopping. St. George offers all that is needed for a relaxing family or friends vacation. The pool was a fabulous treat for those of us who aren't big fans of swimming in the ocean, but our husbands and the dogs did take their dips in the surf. The large main deck was great for lounging and we brought a gate to close off the steps so the dogs could hang out on the deck safely when we were not outside with them. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable and does not give you that rental house feeling. Mr. Stark was extremely responsive and communicative throughout the entire process for our first VRBO rental experience. Much better than previous experiences through a rental company. We would love and hope to return for future vacations."

"Our family was delighted with Chasing Pirates! We loved the screened in porch with a beautiful view. We gathered there in the mornings and ate meals there. The beaches are great and the dolphins put on a show for us every day! Fishing from the beach is fun and sometimes rewards us with supper! We had two fish fries from the fish my husband caught! Bicycling is a daily family fun activity. The lovely furnishings and decorating added to our pleasant stay. The elevator was a great plus! Island life is so relaxing and the Plantation is a lovely place to do just that. Don't forget to visit the "old Florida" town of Apalachicola. It is full of ambience and surprises. Lots of interesting local shops to visit. We like The Green Door to the left as you enter the town from the river bridge. All in all, one week is not enough! Wish it were longer........"

"We had a great stay at "Fit for a King", it was so great to have so many beds to use and comfortable too. Loved all the tile floors. The beach access was so quick and the beach is quiet and perfect. Loved all the bike paths. Definitely recommend!"

"We just returned from our first visit to St. George Island and our stay in Mariner's Compass was very nice. We had 4 adults and 1 9 year old. The upstairs loft was great for her and the 2 downstairs bedrooms were perfect and have the most awesome view. The kitchen is nicely renovated and very well stocked. Whether home or away, there are always maintenance issues and we experienced two while there - the A/C wasn't working when we arrived, the management company promptly brought over a portable unit to cool us down for the night. A few days later we discovered a water leak underneath the house, someone was there that day to repair it. Awesome house - loved the walkway to the beach and the neighbors who own the house next door are super nice. The only thing that could improve are the couches in the living room - beautiful to look at, but not comfortable at all and would also be nice if there were TVs in the bedrooms. We loved St. George and will definitely be back!"
