  • Fantastic View

"My family had a great time at Down Time! We loved it. The Plantation is the place to stay. So quite and not crowded. Saw dolphins everyday. The house is very spacious with a great kitchen with granite counter tops. Everything you could possibly need! You will love this house and location. Thanks Mike! We'll be back!"

  • Cozy and charming

"Our family of 5 including our 2 dogs stayed in this delightful beach house for a week in July. The location is amazing and the house is very comfortable. We were able to sit on the deck and watch our 3 daughters just steps away on the beach. The house is cozy and charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed a true family vacation in Midsummer Night's Dream and would definitely stay there again."

  • Fabulous

"We had such a wonderful time at the sand dollar. We visited some other houses in the area and felt like we got the best deal. Our house was much nicer. Owners very easy to talk to and responded quickly during the entire process. We were in for the marathon and I am always worried about beds and showers. Both were great. If I am ever crazy enough to do the race again or decide to do thenhalf, we would stay in the same place"

  • Wonderful beach, great family time

"We are a family of 8 adults and one dog that had a fantastic time! A very beautiful home that has plenty of room and privacy with 5 bedrooms and 4 & 1/2 baths. We are from Tampa and drove over 5 hours (passing lots of beaches) to get here and so glad we did! Very peaceful, private, rustic beach (no speed boats, jet skis, no planes flying over with ad banners, no condos or high rise hotels). The home was beautifully decorated and provided everything we needed other than food. We prepared every meal for 5 days and had plenty of dishes, pots & pans. Ping pong was fun in the evenings. The young adults loved the kayak and even took a bike ride to the light house & museum one afternoon; and We took a short walk to the state park along the beach another afternoon. We all agreed that what we will miss most is having every meal together (breakfast, lunch & dinner) on the porch listening to the waves, the gentle breeze and the wonderful view. Lots to do, but everything felt relaxed and slow...the perfect vacation. Also, you can view the sunrise & sunset from the upper porch! Sissel, the owner was excellent to work with and provided quick responses to each of my questions/emails. FYI: bring groceries with you, as the only local market on the island is very expensive with limited choices!"

St. George Island Travel Tips

St. George Island Rentals for an Undisturbed, Quiet Tropical Getaway

St. George Island, Florida is one of the most untouched and undeveloped beach areas along the Gulf of Mexico. St. George Island rentals give you total control over the activities and environment surrounding your visit to this ideal, yet secluded vacation spot.

Fishing Opportunities Abound near St. George Island Rentals

Fishing is one of the most popular activities for those staying in St. George Island condos. Visitors to St. George Island resorts bring their own fishing gear, shop locally for bait, and may even cook their catch of the day in the fully-equipped kitchen in their vacation rental homes. If you don't own fishing gear, there are rental shops located near St. George Island condos.

St. George Island Condos Can Be Your Homes away from Home

No matter your family’s personal tastes, many choices in St. George Island rentals will ensure you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay. You may prefer St. George Island condos that are big and luxurious or quaint and understated. Also, consider that St. George Island resorts may be located directly on the beach for the best views and easiest access possible to the Gulf and all of the surrounding wildlife.

Stay in St. George Island Resorts and Take Control

Staying in Florida rentals in St. George Island means that you’ll have total control over where you are located, which amenities you have access to, and which attractions you see when. You’ll want to schedule a day at the St. George Island State Park to see the newly-erected lighthouse, boardwalks and piers. Many visitors to St. George Island condos enjoy bird-watching and even hiking through the local trails along bay forests and salt marshes.

Nearby, you’ll find more than enough local shopping opportunities to find your necessary souvenirs too. Don’t forget to take full advantage of your Gulf access during your stay, either; several St. George Island resorts offer boat rentals so you can enjoy a day at sea or a simple afternoon paddling along the shoreline.
