  • Relaxation time

"Quiet: beach and pool not crowded. This condo was perfect for my family of four. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds in the hall. The king size mattress was very comfortable. I would recommend this condo. Close to restaurants and only a 10 min drive to Destin for more restaurant / activities."

  • AMAZING!

"We just returned from Portofino a few days ago and it was by far the best vacation ever!!! We have vacationed in the area for 6 years now and never have returned to the same location the next year..... but we will be going back here next year! They have thought of EVERYTHING! First off the condo- this condo is on the fifth floor of tower 5. The fifth floor all the condos have extra room on the balconies. So spacious and beautiful. They had lounge chairs and a table to eat on outside. Views were amazing all around and can see the bay and gulf from all over the unit. The grill is weird and didn't leave that yummy grill flavor. It was an electric grill :/ but still made smores on the balcony fun! Also on the areas of the extended balcony the 20 levels above you cant drop things on you. They are just sealed windows above. Now for the condo- Perfect! You can park your on the 4th floor parking garage and the elevators are just steps from there. The condo is on the 5th floor and the entry is beautiful and roomy. The whole condo is roomy. There were 8 of us staying here and NEVER felt crowded. The master suite is roomy with a huge master bath and closet. The other rooms were roomy too each with thier own bath. The kitchen is well stocked execpt for coffee filters!! The living room has a super comfy couch and TV with tons of channels. Now for all the extras!!- there is a beach access right across from tower five and was never crowded. The ocean and beach are just BEAUTIFUL! The week we were there the water was so calm almost no waves. There are umbrella rentals you can buy near the first tower or just bring your own stuff like we did and save money. There are floating beds, paddle boards and kayaks for rent on the gulf side. So beautiful! I am still dreaming about it. The bay side has the inflatable water toys. Soooo fun but make sure to go later in day cause they bring more out as the day goes on. We went one morning and that afternoon they had 2 more fun things out there. Sea doo rentals are fun and everybody is so friendly. The dophin cuise was a hit with the kids and the pool with open bar was amazing. The nachos were AMAZING! & lots of yummy drinks. The adventure package is the way to go as everything is unlimited as far as kayaks, sea doos, waterpark, & cruises....pretty much everything is included. I would go back here in a heartbeat and really cant think of anything negative. Just what vacation is all about"

  • Great Condo! View could be great

"I wanted to thank the owners of the condo and the management company. They did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. My only complaint was the window was dirty and could not see out at the beautiful surroundings. I was shocked to hear that the window was only cleaned once a year. I called Grady and he had someone out right away. The cleaning guy said the dirt was actually calcium deposits from the sprinkler system water. We both agreed those windows need cleaning often. The Condo was nicely decorated and they even had soap and toiletries on hand for our convenience. Big bonus for us was that they did not require the usual clean up before leaving. I will definitely be back again!"

Florida Main North West Travel Tips

Northwest Florida, aka the Florida Panhandle, is known for its stellar white sand beaches and glowing blue-green waters. The beaches of northwest Florida provide the area's most popular attractions for visitors. Surrounding the surf and sand are a variety of parks, restaurants and shops. Within this region is the Emerald Coast that runs from Pensacola to Port St. Joe, and the Forgotten Coast that runs from Mexico Beach to St. Marks.

Things to Do in Northwest Florida

National Museum of Naval Aviation: Anyone interested in space travel is sure to enjoy the rich history found here. With more than 140 restored aircraft from the Navy, Coast Guard Aviation and Marine Corps, this space offers plenty to explore. Watch a live Blue Angels flight demonstration, experience flight and motion-based simulators and learn about the interior of a cockpit.

Gulf World Marine Park: Tons of family fun can be had at Gulf World Marine Park. With the park's dolphin, scuba, sea lion and tropical bird shows, visitors can see these local animals up close and personal performing entertaining and amazing tricks and feats. As you stroll though, don’t miss Tropical Gardens, where you can pet a live string ray and visit the exhibits of otters, iguanas, alligators and penguins.

Panhandle Butterfly House: Along U.S. Highway 98 you’ll find the Navarre Visitor Center, and at the foot of the beach bridge is an interactive butterfly garden that’s home to migrating butterflies and a nursery housing local butterfly species. The facility is operated by volunteers, and visitors can take a class to learn about butterfly gardening, ecosystem management and habitat conservation. Step inside and witness dozens of types of butterflies flying around. These colorful, winged creations are certainly a sight to see.

Mission San Luis: This exciting northwestern Florida attraction is a popular living history park. More than 60 acres rest on a quiet oasis away from city living. As you walk through the park you’ll feel as though you’ve gone back in time. Examine the exhibit gallery and museum in the visitor center, which houses artifacts both excavated and from private collections. The theater produces live entertainment and a classroom offers workshops and special events. If you visit on Sunday, take an Archeology Tour to learn how the site’s been excavated and how artifacts are preserved.

Panhandle Opry: To get a taste of some good ol’ fashioned country western music, check out the Panhandle Opry on the first and third Saturday of each month. A collection of musical artists gets together to put on a traditional show for visitors who love the genre.

Pensacola Museum of Art: Situated in Pensacola’s historic Old City Jail Building, this public institution encourages creativity in visual arts with 18 annual exhibitions, workshops, lectures and films.

Best Beaches of Northwest Florida

Santa Rosa Beach: Santa Rosa Beach was founded in 1910 and was the start of South Walton as its known today. Surrounding this sandy area are luxurious beach houses, a unique artist colony and plenty of upscale dining. Follow up a day of sun and surf with an elegant evening out, complete with fine dining and plenty of culture.

Pensacola Beach: Famously known for pearly white sand and stunningly green waters, Pensacola Beach is certainly one to put on the must-see list. There are endless opportunities for both fun and relaxation here. Stroll down Pensacola Beach Pier or set up your rod for a morning of fishing. Stake your claim on the beach itself for some quality time with loved ones in the sun before grabbing a lunch of fresh seafood at a nearby eatery.

Topsail Hill State Preserve: At Topsail Hill you’ll find amazing natural features, including 3.2 miles of secluded sandy beaches and dunes rising more than 25 feet tall. The state preserve offers and excellent location for an afternoon of fishing off the shore or hiking through the trees while on the lookout for local birds. Of course, there’s the beach itself, where you can soak up some rays, build an epic sand castle or have a swimming race.
