"A beautiful place to stay. The pictures do not do this condo justice. The view was beautiful. The owner was great to work with. All rooms were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked. The condo was immaculate. Perfect for multiple families. Will definitely be staying here next year."

  • This was the best vacation we have taken - it was our own little piece of heaven.

"This vacation was everything we expected and more! We were very happy with our choice to vacation here. The villa was perfectly located-a very short was from the 5th floor parking garage. Which was awesome for unloading luggage. The rooms and bathroom were both clean, & the queen bed in the room sleeps so well! I loved the beach theme the villa has, very clean, I felt very at home. You have so much access to the destin west pools & the ramada pool (with the giant rock waterfall) & kids splash area as well. The splash area was a MAJOR reason we chose to stay here. We have two kids ages 6 & 2-they both LOVED the splash area. The free beach service was also a major plus. It was probably mine & my husbands favorite part of the trip. We spent the majority of our time here. And the pools and hot tub we visited at destin west were very clean! Helpful hints: try checking out the store behind the ramada's pool. They have tons of things you can get for cheaper than driving into town for touristy items. Also, the yellow building on the beach with the green roof offers snacks (chips) and drinks (alcoholic & non alcoholic) for a very affordable price. I believe their non alcoholic drinks came with free refills too! Also, the earlier you get your name to the beach attendant for your beach service, the better spot you will have for the next time you come out. Go as soon as you arrive if you can to ensure you are as close to the beach as possible for the next day. The owners/managers of this property were wonderful & attentive. We had a couple of issues. One was the sofa bed, it didn't sleep as well as we had hoped. Could probably use a new mattress, so we let our kids sleep there. No biggie. The other issue we had was the washer/dryer combo wasn't drying. We let the manager know, and he was able to get a technician out to look at it & also had our dirty laundry picked up by the cleaning service. Which they returned folded & cleaned. We didn't have to change our plans at all. Thanks so much for doing that for us!!! I really can't brag on the owners enough. Before we took off for the trip, They provided me with their contact information, driving directions, destin west rules, their favorite food spots, I mean...you name it. They were very attentive & helpful. So glad we booked here, we had a great time, made many memories and I hope to come back so we can stay here again in the future. Thank you so much!"

  • Beautiful Navarre Beach Condo!

"I had the most amazing time here. I took a vacation alone for the first time in my life. This was the perfect place for it. This condo is very clean, nicely decorated and so nice to stay in. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It has a balcony with an ocean view. You can see the ocean from the master bed. This was one of my favorite things, waking up to hear and see the ocean every morning from my bed. It is a very peaceful and beautiful place. I took long walks on the beautiful beach. I walked on the Navarre Beach Pier, which is the longest pier in FL and the Gulf of Mexico and is just a short walk down the beach. I saw several Dolphin, fish and other living things in the water. The water is so blue and clear, it is gorgeous! I also enjoyed collecting beautiful shells every day. There are many good restaurants close by. I can't think of anything this place is missing, I was very sad to leave. I highly recommend staying here!! Thank you Margy for sharing your home :-)"

Florida Main North West Travel Tips

Northwest Florida, aka the Florida Panhandle, is known for its stellar white sand beaches and glowing blue-green waters. The beaches of northwest Florida provide the area's most popular attractions for visitors. Surrounding the surf and sand are a variety of parks, restaurants and shops. Within this region is the Emerald Coast that runs from Pensacola to Port St. Joe, and the Forgotten Coast that runs from Mexico Beach to St. Marks.

Things to Do in Northwest Florida

National Museum of Naval Aviation: Anyone interested in space travel is sure to enjoy the rich history found here. With more than 140 restored aircraft from the Navy, Coast Guard Aviation and Marine Corps, this space offers plenty to explore. Watch a live Blue Angels flight demonstration, experience flight and motion-based simulators and learn about the interior of a cockpit.

Gulf World Marine Park: Tons of family fun can be had at Gulf World Marine Park. With the park's dolphin, scuba, sea lion and tropical bird shows, visitors can see these local animals up close and personal performing entertaining and amazing tricks and feats. As you stroll though, don’t miss Tropical Gardens, where you can pet a live string ray and visit the exhibits of otters, iguanas, alligators and penguins.

Panhandle Butterfly House: Along U.S. Highway 98 you’ll find the Navarre Visitor Center, and at the foot of the beach bridge is an interactive butterfly garden that’s home to migrating butterflies and a nursery housing local butterfly species. The facility is operated by volunteers, and visitors can take a class to learn about butterfly gardening, ecosystem management and habitat conservation. Step inside and witness dozens of types of butterflies flying around. These colorful, winged creations are certainly a sight to see.

Mission San Luis: This exciting northwestern Florida attraction is a popular living history park. More than 60 acres rest on a quiet oasis away from city living. As you walk through the park you’ll feel as though you’ve gone back in time. Examine the exhibit gallery and museum in the visitor center, which houses artifacts both excavated and from private collections. The theater produces live entertainment and a classroom offers workshops and special events. If you visit on Sunday, take an Archeology Tour to learn how the site’s been excavated and how artifacts are preserved.

Panhandle Opry: To get a taste of some good ol’ fashioned country western music, check out the Panhandle Opry on the first and third Saturday of each month. A collection of musical artists gets together to put on a traditional show for visitors who love the genre.

Pensacola Museum of Art: Situated in Pensacola’s historic Old City Jail Building, this public institution encourages creativity in visual arts with 18 annual exhibitions, workshops, lectures and films.

Best Beaches of Northwest Florida

Santa Rosa Beach: Santa Rosa Beach was founded in 1910 and was the start of South Walton as its known today. Surrounding this sandy area are luxurious beach houses, a unique artist colony and plenty of upscale dining. Follow up a day of sun and surf with an elegant evening out, complete with fine dining and plenty of culture.

Pensacola Beach: Famously known for pearly white sand and stunningly green waters, Pensacola Beach is certainly one to put on the must-see list. There are endless opportunities for both fun and relaxation here. Stroll down Pensacola Beach Pier or set up your rod for a morning of fishing. Stake your claim on the beach itself for some quality time with loved ones in the sun before grabbing a lunch of fresh seafood at a nearby eatery.

Topsail Hill State Preserve: At Topsail Hill you’ll find amazing natural features, including 3.2 miles of secluded sandy beaches and dunes rising more than 25 feet tall. The state preserve offers and excellent location for an afternoon of fishing off the shore or hiking through the trees while on the lookout for local birds. Of course, there’s the beach itself, where you can soak up some rays, build an epic sand castle or have a swimming race.
